Not a bad result from community day. Shiny Cyndaquil, Squirtle, Chikorita and Mareep. Got my Dragonair evolved into Dragonite finally as wells Venusaur and my shiny Pupitar to a Tyranitar (got that in the Larvitar community day back in June) and a Metagross which is apparently an amazing gym defender with the special move it learns. Three candy away from getting a Charizard too which is nice.

EDIT: that's me got Charizard now too :msgreen:

Yet again another community event that I can't log in for. I'm sure it's personal.

I got a shiny Mareep, Eevee and Larvitar.

I think yesterday when I woke up I checked the game and the shiny Larvitar was the first catch of the day.

I'm nowhere near hitting the amount of candy for their final evolution though.

Oh, I did catch a shiny Beldam, but the game froze up and then gave me the item cannot be used at this time error. So. Pissed. Off.

Managed to get a shiny Pikachu, been hunting for one for ages. I had previously got one months ago and transferred it by mistake :fp:

Getting on well with this, and has been nice to see family been getting back into the game, too. Read back through the last 10 pages and have added more of you.

Will probably hit level 20 later this week, so will start to look into performing evolutions then (will probably hold off powering up for a while).

Got my first Totodile today, which was a lovely surprise. Also got an Alolan Vulpix from an egg. :toot:

Edit- For unwanted Pokemon that are expensive to evolve, you're supposed to transfer them?

Not sure what you mean?

If you've got a relatively rare Pokémon with a high CP that you might want to evolve later, it's worth hanging onto even if it takes a while to get there.

On the other hand, if you're at level 20, you'll probably find you level up quite rapidly and you'll catch bigger and better mons to evolve later on, including the rarer ones.

Generally, I'll just keep the highest CP critter I catch in each evolution tree until I'm just about to evolve it, and everything else gets transferred into the Professor's mincing machine.

Oh, and here's me for anyone that wants to add someone; 7808-8673-0683

I really can't understand why I started playing this thing, or why I'm still seemingly addicted to it.

It has become a daily habit, has made me walk more than I'd otherwise intend, and has generally stolen hours of my life managing inventory/mincing Pokémon/battling gyms when I'm supposed to be thinking about real life things.

It's my secret shame, and this is my first meeting.

It was a recommendation a few pages back- that people should hold on to all of the caterpies, weedles, pidgeys, etc. as they require so few resources to evolve, so are a fast way to level up (especially when paired with a lucky egg).

I was hitting the 300 mark (should be able to increase this in a couple of days), so was wondering which critters I should axe. Seemed odd to get rid of a Mr. Mime instead of a caterpie, but it makes sense.

Oh, I see. Sorry, yes that does make sense. Pidgeys, ratata, weedles and also whismurs. For levelling up, it's also good to take down a gym or two, or a level one raid, whilst that lucky egg is on (and you can use those common evolved critters like Raticates / Loudreds etc to do this on weaker gyms, before transferring them with no need to revive them, thus saving potions as well).

If you're worried about ditching one, for a 'rare' thing, Mr Mime has so far always been pretty common.

Got my first shiny! A extra small yellow Swablu. Only takes 400 candies to evolve, of which I currently have 17, but I want to evolve it eventually.

Also competed in my first raid (Sharpedo), then reached my first seven day streak reward (Moltres) and evolved my first bunch of pokemon. Unfortunately had an operation yesterday which will keep my off the streets for the next couple of weeks, but can see this working well as a rehab tool.

I have one of those myself, I need a lot more candy though!
I haven't played in a good while but I haven't had the time to. Hopefully I will in the new year.

My sister and I went for a walk playing Go yesterday, when we saw there was a Snorlax at the Post Office. She found it first, and it was a pretty decent 1300-ish, then it turned up for me with question marks. 2590! More than 1000 higher than anything else I´ve got (including Moltres). Can she add some of you for the 'three friends' mission too (her FC is 6675 9323 0881)?

We saw a Ho-oh raid today, but didn't dare attempt it (45000 CP)

Got the Christmas notification details too; a daily incubator is nice, and will be getting a Christmas-hat Pikachu.

Is anyone else having problems with Adventure Sync not tracking distance walked?

After having tracked 25km+ each week since its release- my job involves a lot of walking- last week it only tracked 4km! But in that same week, I hatched 5km three eggs individually!
