I don't care that they're shitty. I like them, and Pokemon is about making friends and being true to yourself. So there.

Think I've only ever used one ice type and that's the Swinub line, I love the look of Glaceon but never actually used one.

Looking over the list on Bulbapedia, I think Alolan Sandslash, Alolan Ninetales, Lapras, Articuno, Glaceon, Mamoswine, and Aurorus are all really great designs. I'd happily make a team out of six of them. Yeah I'd get swept by a Charizard but that's not the point dammit

I like ice types too as well tbh

It's just shame they suck defensively but doesn't change the fact they're fun to use.

Alola Sandslash is great even with his weakness ♥️ granted I prefer the original but I still love both.

While we're on Alolan Forms, Alolan Marowak is sick.

I like Alolan Raichu, only used one recently but he looks so happy :)

I'd forgotten about Lapras, that's another ice type I've used over the years.

I need to look over the list of gen 1 'mon again, as only Flareon springs to mind as something I'd have on a team.
I have too many gen 2 favourites that I've got to miss out on here.

I was planning to put a Laura’s (damn you Autocorrect) in my team this time around, for Lance and also as a Surf buddy; but if we get Alolans that’s less important.

Still though, Lapras is pretty cool. It’s a chill tortoise/whale hybrid that lets people ride around on it.

Cyndaquil and Espeon are two of my top three, and while gen 2 is one of my least played gens, I still try and use my favourites from that gen when available.

I've been watching the footage released late last month on Serebii's Youtube channel, showcasing battles and new places. The camera during battles hasn't changed from the 3DS games. It still isn't as dynamic in movement as the Gamecube games. I was really hoping it would be. Maybe for the 2019 games.

First battle with the Rival.

Pewter City Footage.

Co-op gameplay on Route 6.

There's a few others as well if you go to the channel page, but these three are perhaps the most important, I feel.

I still can't wait to play it come November though :)

On the topic of the 2019 Pokémon game I can't help but wonder if we might get something similar to the new game they announced in the most recent direct, simply called 'Town' currently. The few seconds they showed of that certainly got my interest and a Pokémon version of that would be decent in my opinion.

I've really got back into Pokémon Go over the past month and I actually prefer its catching mechanic to the battling one as it doesn't feel as drawn out (Mewtwo aside). I'm more really hyped for this :toot:

Yeah catching was always a bit of a pain in the arse. Largely because you needed False Swipe to remove the annoyance of fainting a Pokémon, so you'd generally just use one monster. After that it was just down to the RNG of throwing countless balls, so it's not going to be much different to this, I feel.

Obviously Go has to have some kind of bullshit RNG to get you to plough through balls. Hopefully in the Switch games this won't lead you to burning all your in game cash and grinding for more. As it's Nintendo I am going to presume they will resist the urge to easily stick microtransactions in, where perhaps another company would. They do a lot of things wrong (their online system consists of a potato with a few wires in it and there are now more copies of NES Super Mario Bros than there are people) but they thankfully haven't cottoned on to that kind of blatant cash grab yet.
