It really is the peak of rage-inducing television. I have to avoid watching it because otherwise I'm guaranteed to go to bed angry.

Yeh Question Time is poor. It gives a voice to people talking nonsense in the name of "fairness". These voices aren't challenged or fact checked at all

What grates with me is that this is typically from the generation that have had everything their way for decades but the slightest hint of change is rebelled against. They seem to believe that the country should be run to best suit them and only them, not everyone.

They also get quite angry at being called gammons yet 'generation snowflake' is apparently fair game. What?

The same generation that own most of the domestic properties in the land but simultaneously complain about all the new houses being built whilst getting rich off younger generations by charging extortionate and immoral levels of rent. All whilst criticising younger generations for staying at home later and later.

The problem with the Gammon is that they're hypocrites. They bang on about PC language being awful and people should just get used to being insulted but as soon as anything gets aimed at them, it's unfair and racist and needs to stop. At least in principle the 'snowflakes' are against throwing this kind of language around.

Godwin’s law doesn’t automatically lose an argument. Godwin’s law just says any online argument will end up with somebody comparing something to the Nazis. It doesn’t say that comparison is wrong.

Swearing/insulting doesn’t show a lack of verbal skills either. Not using words doesn’t mean somebody has a larger vocabulary.

It’s rather ironic when somebody complains about “snowflakes” and only to clutch their pearls at the merest hint of an insult/swearing.

There have been studies that have shown that swearing may in fact display a more rather than less intelligent use of language skills. The whole swearing is for stupid people isn’t necessarily true
