After deporting the Windrush generation you’d think May would have made room for a few more kids.

To be fair, there was a lot bad press surrounding the last set of kids as most of them looked at least 25. :slol:

Well if some people thought they they looked 25 then that’s a good reason to not allow in the 2980 children we agreed to take in.

Obviously the fault of George Soros and the EU that only looks out for the elites.

Don't forget Corbyn. It'd always his fault.

Actually I do partially blame him; mostly for being a useless buffoon who provides weak opposition to the worst government in forever.

Yet he's the only major politician offering the solution to this problem, actual redistribution of wealth.

That's 5 more people than have actually been arrested for the actual fire, which is immensely depressing.

I'm not sure what crime they could actually be charged with though. Hate crime maybe if there was certain language in the video.

[Edit - In clips I've seen there's no language used, but] The video certainly feels racially charged (not helped by the now nationalistic linked English Flag) - they took time to paint a good number of figures brown or in burkas

But they've been charged with "a" public order offense.

Looking through the list of things they could apparently go with, Section 5 of the Public Order Act (abusive language, gestures with intent to cause another harassment, alarm, or distress) seems most likely, which is at most a fine. If they can prove it was racially aggravated though then maybe Section 4A, which is a max 6 month jail term, but that would probably be suspended. Had they just burnt a building with Grenfell written on it then it would just be a bad taste joke, ala the effigy of Boris Johnson that was also burnt elsewhere.

As Hexx says they could be charged with a public order offence.

The person who posted the video could also be charged under the Malicious Communications Act.

There was definitely a racial element to what they did.

However its immensely depressing that the real criminals who built a modern day slum and failed to maintain it, then covered it in flammables are walking free. Whilst these idiots deserved to be punished as the law dictates, it shouldn't be allowed to shift the agenda away from the people responsible for the fire.

True, but this may well put Grenfell back into the publics mind. A lot of people will have forgotten about what happened and this might spark further interest.

Hopefully, but I suspect the media agenda will be to just see these morons banged up and then move on.

I think this public enquiry has turned into a bit of a disaster. It feels like the investigation has really been frozen whilst the enquiry is going on. They should be raiding offices of the buildings owners and the refurbishment company, and raiding the offices of the council responsible.

It is inconceivable that there isn't a paperwork trail behind the work on that building, which is why I find it baffling that nobody has been charged.
