Christ it's a tough day for her.

1) attend labour question
followed by
2) sit next to Hunt as he rolls back everything she stands for
followed by
3) call a general election debate

Then, at the end of the day, she goes home and she's still Liz Truss.

The main thing that needed changing with the existing help was that it needed to be funded by taxes on energy wholesalers, not general taxation.

Over 6 months was Labour's plan and makes more sense. Why commit to 2 years of borrowing at this point when you don't know what the fuel price will do?

6 months makes more sense and can be revisited again in April.

And Kwarteng isn't replying to her texts at the moment.

What makes this worse is if there is another leadership contest we'll have another 2 months or so where the government will do nothing until the new leader comes in. We're so strawberry floated.

They can't have 2 month leadership contest.

They'll change the method of election. It might piss off their membership but better to piss off people who will definitely vote for them than the rest of the country even more.

I don't think so. They'll either change their rules, or arrange it so that candidates drop out before it goes to the members.

uh uh uuuhhhhh - Liz Truss attempting to answer PMQs.

She should be forced to show herself up to the nation. She's strawberry floated everything she should own it.
