I think she deserves as much airtime as possible. She’s such a loony that even die hard Tories think she’s nuts. The more the younger generations assume all right wing politics is the sorts of nonsense Truss is saying the sooner we are rid of it.

I see the Nat Cs are currently whining about not being able to do their hate speeches in Belgium.

I hope the Belgians lock them all up.

It never works like that. The more airtime people get, the more people end up supporting them.

Yep. If anything the past decade has taught us-on Brexit, on climate change, on the rise of the far right, it's that the saying "sunlight is the best disinfectant" is very much not true.

"Sunlight is the best disinfectant" isn't even true if we're talking about actual disinfectants.

True

It seems it was first said in 1913 so maybe it was back then :slol:

It'd save a lot of money if it was true though.

"Should I bleach the operating theatre before the next patient arrives?"

"Nah, just open the blinds"

It would be such an easy win for Labour if they announced that they were going to write off all benefit debt day one at the start of the next parliament.

It would be a major vote winner for those effected and crucially would cost nothing because that money has already been spent. It also has the extra effect of making the government look even more like the heartless bastards they actually are. When you have even IDS saying maybe they’ve gone too far you know there is a problem.

That medical expenses part sounds like straight up embezzlement - a criminal offence.

"Following a call with the Chief Whip, Mark Menzies has agreed to relinquish the Conservative whip, pending the outcome of an investigation."

He has agreed to. Just like they let Wragg. Feeble party won’t take a hard line with their own miscreants, allowing them to maintain an unwarranted veneer of honour.

The rate they’re going, we won’t need an election. The Tories will lose their majority through attrition.

Can it definitely be ruled out that Angela Rayner was the one extorting this money from Menzies though?
