Thanks - I'm now developing this project to explore how to combine Cinema4D Studio Edition with Poser Pro. Poser Pro ships with a plugin for C4d, allowing the import of poser files directly into C4d's environment. This opens up new possibilities for building interesting set designs around an imported Poser figure as Poser itself has very limited 3D tools. This is how the Poser figure looks imported into C4d's environment:
The Poser file (highlighted) is imported but remains active - to repose the figure one has to go back into Poser and make and save the alterations, which are then updated into the C4d scene. So C4d is essentially 'referencing' the Poser file all the time, keeping track of live changes. This is a great way to work with Poser native files.
