I firmly believe that if everyone had good looking 80x80 avatars there would be zero complaints.

He still isn't using it. Ungrateful bastard. :|

He PMed me to say using it would undermine his point about smaller better avatars.

Do me a favour Herbi, once you've pulled the stick out of your ass hand it to me so I can beat you about the head with it.

:|
I don't like big avatars, so why would I use a big avatar?

Oh and when is this 'experiment' coming to an end.

That bigger version of your avatar does look kinda nice Herbi! :)

The week long experiment is up tomorrow. Do you think we should bother with getting everyone to change to 65x65 avatars for the week ahead or should we just take a vote and see who's 'for or against' the current 80x80 avatars? I've personally already grown quite comfortable with the current ones, after being a bit unsure about them in the beginning. What say you all?

65x65 for a week starting Monday. That way each Racheltar has had a run-out in both sizes, and then people can decide which suits her best.

It would be easy enough to resize all these avatars, but I think most people are probably used to this size now so a vote is probably more useful.

Vote yes on Proposition 80x80.

May as well go for the 65*65 trial to see what that's like.

Though I'd be happy enough to just keep these avatars. If only to annoy Herbi.

I do like the larger Avatars, I just want to see Join date back. I don't follow everything that closely, and it's not easy for me to work out who is new and such. Though I suppose it does not really matter in the long run, it just makes me feel better.

I wouldn't bother with a 65*65 trial, just either keep these or if you really must, go back.

If you do want to do it democratically, have people post in the thread, and disregard posters will less than 20 posts made before a month ago.

We should migrate GRcade to Flarum. :toot:

I've grown quite attached to my 80*80 avatar.

Keep the 80*80 a move backwards to 65*65 will be useless now we've known greatness.

I vote that we keep the 80x80 avatars.

Keep it the same!

As in the 80x80 avatars. Not the old smaller size. In case you mistook that as a reference to the beginning of GRcade.

Just to clarify, I wish to keep my strawberry floating awesome Wolverine avatar. Which is 80x60. So please keep the avatars at 80x80.

Yes please.

I thought community voting was banned?

Nah, there won't be polls (as in poll topics in the forum software sense) in here any more, but for this I'll put a topic up for people to publicly post if they're 'for' or 'against' the new avatars and we can count up the votes that way.

I'll be gutted if we have to go back to 45 x 45 avatars. They're strawberry floating ridiculously small. Looks like the only people that want them back are professional whingers like Herbi, so hopefull the people will win out.

Sixty-FOUR by sixty-FOUR should have a trial run, in my opinion, though I'm used to 80*80 so I don't really mind.

Almost everyone seems really comfortable at 80*80, so I think a vote on if we should keep it is in order (Although I think the amount of people with the new avatars is a statement in itself. :D ). We shouldn't bother with 64*64 unless people are unhappy at 80*80, maybe.

The real vote should be: To keep the forum looking consistent, should the old size avatars now be banned? Someone was saying we should have a minimum size of 64*64, and I have to admit the few tiny avatars around the place do stick out when sitting among the bigger ones.

I was also in the middle of preparing a bunch of new 80*80 Avatars for the gallery, so I don't want the size to shrink and ruin my work!

That someone was me, The Voice of Change. 8-)

The small avatars must be destroyed.
