They've been selling all sorts of shite for over a pound for a few years now.

With inflation, not being able to increase your prices is a fairly restrictive approach....

I usually buy wrapping paper and Christmas cards from there (I am cheap), and they sell quite a lot of stuff for more than £1. It’s quite annoying to see the big sign up saying “EVERYTHING £1” when right below it are some toys for £5.

Before you could do the joke "so, how much is this then?" or laugh at those going around asking the price of everything...but now, it's a legit question!

I think they kind of hamstrung themselves with the name (like 99p Land or Pound Shop) in a way £-Stretcher hasn't.

I have gotten some decent blue rays for £1 from my local before so I guess next time I am near I will have a look in , I am never really going to moan about a different place trying to sell games , its nice to have different options.

I spotted some £5 games in a Poundland yesterday. They didn't have a huge selection, but they were there (stuff like Call of Duty: Ghosts and Fallout: New Vegas). Now that I know a Poundland near me has them, I'll be keeping an eye out for possible Wii U games, as they want to get those in, apparently. They also had third party turbo controllers for the Mini NES.

Fallout: New Vegas at £5 is an absolute steal

Still no games at all at the Poundland here.

Saw Deus Ex: Mankind Divided (PS4) for a fiver at Stratford branch.

Then again that was a PS Plus free game last month.

The Ashford store had Deus Ex, Destiny and Homefront for £5 each on PS4.

Poundland has now rushed to the top of everyone's visiting list when they're next on the high street. I walked past one yesterday and thought I'd nip in to see if they had anything good, whereas I wouldn't normally have even thought about it. They're probably just after a few impulse snack purchases from getting gamers in...
