To be fair a better running console for cheaper is a bit of a no-brainer when I have no real alliance anymore.

Was it? Was there?

Chile (PPM) vs Turkey
Denmark vs Greece

Who will win?

I can't find the sheet with all the results at the moment, but over a week ago, me and PPM finished out World Cup oddyssey.

The game started off with PPM's Brazil playing England, and England gave this a bloody good go, in many eyes edging the first half. The game was also notable for the injury to Hulk, but in the dying embers of the second half - Brazils scored to send them through to the quarter finals in a nervy affair.

Next came the shock result of the whole tournament as Nigeria shocked France with a 2-1 win to knock out Les Bleus and take on Brazil in the final eight.

Germany swept aside the challenge of one of PPM's other teams Russia with a dominant performance, ominously winning 3-0 with Klose running absolute riot amongst the Russia defence.

Belgium beat an impressive Switzerland side, and Greece beat Denmark on penalties.

Aguero turned out to be the end of the Blue Samurai as Argentina charged to a convincing 2-0 win over Japan to keep myself in it. With Croatia springing a real suprise by knocking out those Italians on penalties (Baggio anyone?), the line up for the quarter finals was set.

Brazil would take on Nigeria, and the Brazillians would come to life, with Neymar acting as a constant threat and Fred scoring the goals with Hulk still sidelined through injury.

PPM's Chile wouldn't be quite so lucky, and despite the dominance of Alexis Sanchez through the tournament, the Chileans would be no match for the Germans who would win with a 1-0 victory thanks to Muller.

Belgium would reach the Semi Finals for the first time after besting one of the most exciting teams in the tournament in Croatia, a golden generation finally coming good.

In the final game, a cagey Argentina side managed to just about unpick Greece after Messi had hit the post in spectacular fashion after dribbling past five men, the Argentines needing penalties to get through.

Then...disaster. FIFA decided to reorder the matches and rather than the possibility of a Brazil-Argentina final, the game decided to make this the semi-final instead. Belgium would take on Germany in the other game.

It was PPM vs DML. Only one could make the World Cup Final.

Messi had been quiet for large parts of the tournament, leaving Higuain and Aguero to be the lynchpins for Argentina, but both were kept very quiet in an effective Brazil performance with a standout showing from Neymar, providing both goals for a recently returning from injury Hulk. Argentina were out - I was out...it was over.

Brazil would face Germany in the final after yet another convincing win over the Belgians.

BRAZIL (PPM) vs GERMANY

The final many predicted at the start of qualifying, and one that meant no real suprises. The game came down to two things. Culd Neymar fire all cylinders, or could the Germans grind the Brazillians down? Which Brazil would turn up?

As it was, Neymar couldn't get a hold of the game and Brazil were whittled down to short, truncated plays which really left Germany as the team attacking with any real intent. After a goaless first half, it took a wonderful pass and cut inside by Mesut Ozil to strike past a beleagured Julio Cesar to score the games only goal and secure the World Cup for the Germans. Just like real life.

And with that our adventure ended.

And the game was shot into a million pieces for being such a glitchy piece of gooseberry fool!
