Anything to do with games at all.

Due to the Flu that turns you into a pig, do you think the kibosh is going to be put on this year's E3?

Not a chance. Too much money has gone into it, and it's not going to be cancelled for a mild sniffle.

As the Swine Flu death toll continues to climb, the World Health Organization has raised its alert to its second highest level, a first for the WHO.

Even with travel warnings and even as the possibility of pandemic looms, the Entertainment Software Association is confident about this year's E3.

"The 2009 E3 Expo is progressing as planned. Public health officials are taking all appropriate steps and we continue to follow their direction on all measures," ESA spokesman Dan Hewitt told game blog Joystiq. "We look forward to a great event, and to seeing you in Los Angeles in June."

The unwashed packed into the same place, breathing the same air, touching the same controllers. Maybe this year's schwag should include face masks and rubber gloves? No, we are not joking.

E3 Ain't Afraid Of No Swine Flu

EDIT: That's a no then.

Too much money has been invested in the event for it not to go ahead.

8-)

It looks like WoW has been infected so E3's cancellation seems inevitable.

Unless everything calms down in a week or two, and the End Of All Things doesn't occur, I don't see E3 going ahead. They could at least delay it rather than cancel altogether. I need confirmation of a Perfect Dark sequel, God dammit!

This.

There's no need to be here any longer than necessary. Let's split up, look for survivors, and get out of here.

This. I don't care if they ban all public attendees and make everyone wear biohazard suits on stage, just as long as they don't cancel it.

How convenient for the announcement of Resident Evil 6... :shifty:

no i don't think it will be canceled as this flu thing is not looking that scary so far is it and at worse i imagine the press conferences will go ahead somewhere still as they have stuff that needs to be announced to the press.

It wont be cancelled but as no one will be left alive by then it won't make much difference. I just hope I can make the last post on here before we all die as that would be almost worth the death of humanity.
