I hope that's true. From my time with Fahrenheit and reading what the developers have been saying in interviews, and watching the videos we've seen so far, it doesn't sound to me like their priorities were in ensuring Heavy Rain didn't suffer the same issues Fahrenheit had. I of course understand they're different games, but it has always been a worry for me, I understand what they're trying to accomplish, but if they can't mesh the conceptual and narrative ideals with creating a game that is an actual game, and a challenging game at that (something Fahrenheit wasn't, in my opinion), then I'd be hugely disinterested. I genuinely hope you're right, and I look forward to actually getting some hands on time with the game, but the gameplay fears are more than understandable, at least to me.
I kinda don't get why Rik's getting such a hard time here
I'm pretty much of the same opinion, Alan Wake seems to me like a much more bankable option that the game will be good. Heavy Rain is pretty unquantifiable, especially for those without the luxury of having been able to play it. It could possibly be astounding, and change the way developers look at making games, but I honestly believe there is an equal chance it could fail spectacularly. So I guess its lol @ BAKA inside too
