PostPremier League Predictions - a game for everybody! Deadline noon 13/08/16
by Herdanos » Sun Aug 07, 2016 3:33 pm

Hello and welcome to

Premier League Predictions 2016/17

A dead easy forum game that literally anyone can play.

How it works

All you need to do is post your predicted final table for the 2016/17 Premier League season.
Once the season is over, you'll get points awarded for each team that you got right - so, for example, if you pick Arsenal to finish 1st, and they do, you'd get one point, for a maximum of twenty points.
The person with the most points wins!

Is that it?

No, you will also get points for correct sequences - but the teams in question have to be in the correct place.
For example, if your top four was Arsenal, Bournemouth, Burnley and Chelsea, and the actual final top four was Arsenal, Bournemouth, Burnley and Crystal Palace, you would get three points.
No points are awarded for a correct sequence of one - so it must be at least two correctly-positioned teams in a row to score points for sequences.
Again, there are a maximum of twenty points available for sequences, meaning an overall total of forty points.

Any bonuses?

Yep, there are five other one-off predictions that you can make:

    Top Premier League Goalscorer
    FA Cup Winners
    League Cup Winners
    Champions League Winners
    First Managerial Casualty

Casualty is defined by a manager who is sacked, resigns, retires, or otherwise leaves his/her post after 13th August.

For each correct bonus answer you will be awarded two points, meaning an absolute maximum of 50 points.

~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

If you'd like to play, simply post your table and bonus predictions in this thread.
I'll quote them in the OP so no players can cheat by editing their posts over the course of the season.
Come the end of the season, we'll take a look back at this thread and see who had the best picks, and was therefore the winner!

You could always replace it with "the eventual Hull manager" if you like.
