This will just make the 2nd hand market more lucritive and manufacturers will find themselves losing money as people would rather pay lower prices. I saw the 40gb PS3 preowned in HMV for £215 which is ever so close to the magical £199 ppt.

Sycophant. Why not just go and kiss Ken Kutaragi's bum cheeks while you're at it?

So price is going to be increased? I can't believe that since release production costs have not gone down. Given the profits Nintendo are making from software, I can only think they are increasing the price simply because "they can".

Yes?

The price is going up to £200 tomorrow. Well, at Game it is, but it wouldn't surprise me if others followed suit.

You could literally price that gooseberry fool at £300 and it'd still sell. Such is the fickleness of Nintendo's target market*

*everyone.

Just so there's no misunderstanding; I was calling the Ubisoft twit a sycophant, not suzzopher.

Price increase? What. I was going to get one for my birthday in a few weeks. I wasn't, I was going to get a portable camera of same kind or maybe an external hard drive, and finally Deadwood because I write it on my birthday and christmas lists every time and they ne...Oz, Oz as well.

I was wrong about them changing the silly name, trying it out initially for a laugh, and wrong about the Wii having an RRP of £150. What that told me is that if I had customers I wouldn't rape them.

I would buy it for...£70.

At this rate, even the 360 Elite will be cheaper than the Wii and with the PS3 only £50 more, this seems like a very odd move for Nintendo. Despite that, people will be ripping the store to bits to buy it, no matter what the price tag is.

Going into town today and going to see how much people are flogging them for.

Who's going to be the first to sell them for their new RRP?
