Nice. I’ll try the demo tonight, then wait for the game to go under £20.

This is my plan.

Hoping for some decent reviews.

Just what I need, another Metroidvania to get hopelessly addicted to.

To those who agree it’s not a £45 game: £34 at CD Keys (XB).

Ten years ago this would have been 1200 Microsoft points and I would have pissed and moaned about it not being 800.

Spoilered, because you won’t be able to unhear it.

Thank god subtitles are on by default, or this would be even more of an issue, but I can’t believe the game got to release without somebody in production pointing out that “Prince Ghassan” sounds just like “Princess Anne” (in some of the characters’ voices).

I’ve only spent a few minutes with the demo, but it plays perfectly to my taste. I’ll play more at the weekend but I can see myself paying up to get it at launch. I’m a sucker for a good map, so when that was revealed it pretty much tipped the balance.

I enjoyed the demo and I thought it was great.

So, yeah I'll play it one day in the future or when the price has dropped down a bit.

Something I hadn’t realised, but makes a huge amount of sense: it was developed by Ubisoft Montpellier, who did the excellent Rayman Legends/Origins.

Rapidly feeling much less of a £15 game.

Watched some reviews for this last night and it actually looks pretty good, I'll still opt to wait for a sale though.

I played a bit of the demo last night and it looks like it'll be a great game.

I'm not buying until it's £25 or less though.

While the account access aspect is annoying, don't let that turn you away from what is a phenomenal game. If anything, hopefully it will find the success it deserves and help show Ubisoft that it's OK to make more than one type of game again. And the best part is, it seems to be great on every platform. I didn't have time to look at Xbox One, One X or PS4, but as the scalability of the game extends to a great Switch version, I'm not too worried there. In short, this is an exceptional game, beautifully executed, and I highly recommend it.

The map innovation is ingenious: when you add a pin to the map it saves a screenshot of the location so you can remind yourself what is there.
