I think the basic premise of S1 - stuck in a prison, need to find a way out - is a very compelling one. I would be quite happy if they replicated that for this season, tbh, but I suspect Michael will be outta there within a couple more episodes (they certainly don't seem to be trying to develop the characters of his fellow inmates like they did with Lincoln, Sucre and T-Bag.

I think everyone would agree the first season is by far the best as it was more centered on the actual escape than the whole conspiracy element which was always ridiculous. You're right about the other prisoners, three episodes in and I don't know any of their names except one of them he keeps calling whip(?). I suppose with only a 9 episode season they don't have enough time to develop a load of new characters.

Another highly strawberry floating entertaining episode. Don't care how stupid it all is, it's just so damn watchable. The reunion.  It's really rocketing along, the shortened season is a godsend.

Kellerman, though. :( They STILL didn't show him dying on-screen, which means he's almost definitely still alive.

Everything T-Bag does or says is great. He steals every scene he's in.

You're telling me

In a single 30-second sequence:

Clue received from Michael. "Writing looks funny, like the spokes of a wheel." "Yes, or a map of the city."
"Look: a red dot. That must be the rendezvous point!"

Riddle solved. Next!

Are you guys a week ahead of the UK showings? That Lincoln roll was only just on in the UK.

OK, cool. I am weirdly unworried about spoilers for this one, in fairness

It's an utter turkey of a show. They should have gone for a reboot. Made the whole thing about a single break, like S1. This is just painful to watch.

Wasnt that the original idea? That each series would be a new prison and a new cast but execs didnt like the risk of that? I may have pulled that out of thin air though as it seems like the most obvious thing to do with a show like this.

RE: This week's episode (506). So glad that one-eyed banana split finally bit the dust this week. If he actually did, that is. If he comes back again I swear.

RE: episode 7. So who didn't see that reveal coming halfway through? :fp: Great second half of the episode, though.

Sucre  His new business

Only two episodes of this madness left. :(

The finale was amazingly ridiculous. The ending!   T-Bag

I'll never understand why Robert Knepper never made it big after this originally ended. He's got charm coming out of every pore, he's so entertaining.

I really enjoyed all of that series, as ridiculous as it was. Glad it came back.

OK, just saw the final episode last night. As a series, it never really got above a solid 5/10. Maybe a few moments of 6.

I think the series never recovered from the weight of trying to explain why MS was still alive. It buried itself under the most convoluted scenario and it took six episodes to escape it.

As stupid as it would have been, they'd have been better off giving us a cheap, easy explanation in the first episode, then cracking on with the interesting stuff, which is Schofield outsmarting people.

The only actual prison break that took place was a huge disappointment - they got out by default, not by design or ingenuity.

I watched the last episode yesterday. Bit silly some of the stuff but overall, good fun. Needed more T-bag though. I think I'll watch another series if it happens.

Yes?

Finally got round to watching this.

They just didn't give a gooseberry fool did they :slol:

I feel like they just went with the first idea someone came up with in the writing room every time.
