chalkitdown wrote:So who watched it? I strawberry floating loved it. It was so ridiculously OTT and stupid. The part where Lincon goes flying through the windshield. I actually burst out laughing. Also, T-Bag is still as entertaining as ever. The opening credits made me nostalgic as strawberry float. Loved seeing the ol' gang back together.

Prison Break

The dialogue from Michael's son, though :dread: Hopefully he won't be in it much.

That scene was beyond stupid. :slol:

There was some slightly odd pacing but was fun to see the return but I hope it is more like season 1 than the every crappier successive seasons.

EDIT: Used wrong emoji!

strawberry floating hell

Have I go rose tinted glasses on because as mad as the premise of the 1st season was it still remained somewhat grounded. Then I see that gif and I'm all confused.

So stupid yet entertaining

Linc finds out his brother might be alive. Cuts to him digging up his grave

It started out grounded, definitely. That all went out the window (like Lincoln!) from season 2 onwards, though.

I feel that they should have aired the first two episodes together because nothing happened there which wasn't in the trailer. Lincoln's hilarious defenestration aside.

Hang on now. Season 1 had Lincoln being framed for the murder of the vice president's brother and being incarcerated in the prison his brother's company renovated so Michael was able to steal the prison's schematics and have them tattooed on his body. This was also the same prison where notorious fugitive DB Cooper was imprisoned and Michael was the only person in the world who managed to deduce this.

It wasn't even convincing evidence! T-Bag of all people gives Lincoln the world's grainiest photo and he immediately gets out the shovel.

Exactly, pretty grounded.

This week's episode:

So, the show is about fighting ISIS, now. I'm looking forward to the crazy convoluted plot about how this all came to be.

No T-Bag this week. :(

Just watched the first episode. Silly, but good fun. Looking forwards to the ridiculous explanation behind all of this. Credit to the actors being able to keep straight faces throughout.

Great episode this week! Very exciting in all storylines but the prison stuff was especially good. Michael's gang are such idiots. :fp:

Where is Linc getting all this money, though?

Lincoln probably got a tonne of money from the government for his wrongful imprisonment.

Can anyone explain how Sarah is living in USA, she was in prison awaiting trial for murder and escaped lawful custody fleeing to panama in finale. Fast forward 6 years and she's living back in US using her own name and going about her business without worry.

Probably wearing a hoodie to avoid detection like Michael and Lincoln used to during season 4.
Most wanted men in america? Hood up, no problem, lets walk the streets of Chicago.

Kellerman probably got her exonerated or something, she was framed anyway. I mean Lincoln survived getting thrown out through his car's windscreen in episode 1, don't worry about plot holes.

I like the way the car went over the barrier too, but then vanished.

This is strawberry floating terrible  (Still watching it though).

There is such a lack of tension. I've admittedly been suffering with a touch of depression over the past year (or five) so maybe I've just stopped caring about anything, but it's just TV by numbers in the worst way.

Oh no my son is missing what's happened oh it's ok there he is.
Oh no the bad men are being released into gen pop, I'm a dead man. Oh no now he's hugging Michael it's all ok lol
Also, anyone else having huge trouble with the dialogue? Not sure if the actors are embarrassed and therefore just mumbling.

Sarah is as lovely as ever, though. So there's that.

Linc's money situation is odd in that he was on the run in the first episode for owing those generic thugs £100,000, so I don't understand how he's suddenly got so much.

I'm presuming Sarah's freedom is linked to the reason why Scofield has been doing these prison breaks for the CIA.

There's no denying that a lot of Prison Break has never really made much sense, and I'd hesitate to even call it good, but there's something about it that's hugely entertaining.
