Ah yeah! A 4-1 victory for Lazio v PSG in my first online match :toot: . Got off to a great start with a goal in the third minute to settle the nerves. The keepers have had some lovely new animations for shot stopping - they look great. Mbappe is bloomin' fast and skillful though :dread: .

So, my overall first impressions are very positive. Evolution and not revolution... but slick and impressive. The only drawback for me is that menu selection colour - I can struggle to see it!

Fellow PC players, you can use option files created for the PS4 on PC using the following guide - https://www.pes-patch.com/2017/09/how-t ... steam.html

We should migrate GRcade to Flarum. :toot:

Don't do it with that file though because now Liverpool is 11 Mignolets.

Nearly a perfect team, it's only missing a decent goalie.

PC servers still down as of now, but in about 2 hours Konami will be doing "maintenance", probably to bring more server capacity. I think the popularity on PC this year caught them off guard.

Sorry to triple post, but the always excellent Chris Schilling has given PES2018 a Eurogamer Recommended.

PES's crown may have slipped just a touch this year, but at its best it still plays a beautiful game of the beautiful game

Is the pc version identical to the consoles does anyone know? I heard it was and then saw a YouTube video a few weeks back and it looked like a downgrade.

Loving this game - the best PES to date. Who else turns off the power bar near the players feet? I find it a bit annoying and unneeded.

This works now. I might have checked the wrong box when importing. Does a good job of all the things you would want already.

Also there is a 115mb PC patch. Online now works so I can get into myclub :D

PES Universe, the makers of the PES Option File (i.e. updated club, kits, tournaments and stadiums), seem to be struggling with demand and parts of their website have been down for most of the day.

Think I'll hang on for a while until the heat has gone down.

Also seems to not be working well, judging by some reddit posts. Apparently changes to the file structure by Konami this year have caught them unawares. PTE Patch, the most popular PC mod for correct licences, have suggested their patch will be delayed till the end of the month whilst they update their work for the new file formats.

PTE builds upon the work done by PES World for PS4 option files, which seem to be coming along nicely, as suggested by this tweet from a PES World staffer this morning:

Just played and won my second Online Divisions match... 1-0 against PSG (again!). PSG are gonna be *by far* the most popular team as Konami award them 400 (!) points for a win, versus just 259 for Barca and 274 for Real. 400 for PSG is just ridiculous; I only get 459 for using Lazio!

400 seems pretty crazy! Maybe they based that on them not having Neymar or Mbappe?

Maybe, Winckle... but, with Cavani, Neymar and Mbappe there now, they're so good!

After my two-game winning start, I've just had my ass whupped by Real Madrid. 1-6 :( . The guy was just too smart for me.

I *think* there may be a bug when the final scoreline flashes up at the end of the game - they only ever seem to show a maximum of three goalscorers. You can see the complete list in the stats afterwards, but it seems a bit odd.

The gameplay is great, though :toot: .

gooseberry fool, gonna be hard to resist PSG with those stats. Shame everyone else will be using them.

I'd trust most other devs to nerf that, but Konami kinda play by their own rules.
