Danish Superliga
Portugal's Liga NOS
Belgium Pro League
Swiss Super League
Scotland's Ladbrokes Premiership
Superliga Argentine
Russian Premier Liga (exclusive to PES 2019)

All the teams in these leagues are fully-licensed in PES 2019 (having the exclusive rights to the Russian league means PES 2019 has the likes of CSKA Moscow, Zenit St Petersburg and Spartak Moscow). It also means PES 2019 will let you play an officially-licensed Old Firm derby, which is pretty cool.

Scottish football fans will be pleased... and I may give Boca Juniors a run-out again :toot: .

Yep; St Mirren have just been promoted so I'm looking forward to finding out how shite they are on this

I only ask as a big North London fan

2018 is just 8 99 in the PlayStation store sale,is it worth buying? Bare in mind I've never really enjoyed Fife and pro evo 3 and 4 lived in my machine.

Arsenal and Liverpool were officially licensed teams in PES 2018 but the Premiership as a whole wasn't.

To be honest, it's not really a problem for players of the PS4 version anyway as all teams, kits, badges, stadia and competitions can be edited / updated anyway.

PES 2018 plays well, RG, and nine quid seems to be rather a decent deal. If you haven't played the game since PES 4 - about fourteen years ago! - then it will take some time to get back into the game and learn the moves, but it's good fun. PES 2019 is due to launch on 30 August but, at the sale price point, the current version could be a relatively cheap way to discover if PES is still your bag.

Coming August

That lighting is eerily realistic.

Eurogamer wrote:A demo for PES 2019 comes out on 8th August on PC via Steam, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, Konami has announced.

The demo includes exhibition match, quick match and offline co-op across two stadiums: FC Barcelona's Camp Nou and Schalke's Veltins Arena.

10 teams are in the demo, including Liverpool, Barcelona, Inter Milan, Argentina and France.

Source.

Looking forward to giving it a go. I rarely play much of the PES demos, though, as I'll continue playing the current version up until the new one launches.

New versions looking good. Looks like they have really built upon last year's version.

Not overly excited by the demo for the first time in years, but hope its much better than pes 2018, which was just so slow.

Same here, for the most part it looks the same as last years (apart from the photo realistic lighting on the pitch).

I'll disagree on the slowness issue though, I like a more considered and slow football game where you have time for precise dribbling and control.

If a football game's too fast then it just descends into a game of hoofball.

True but there is such a huge time lag between the players foot moving and him touching the ball. It makes the game so robotic whereas fifa is fluid. I think konami should focus on making this a better online affair as it really cannot compete on the presentation front. Edited kits are never going to be better than the in game kits in fifa.

For me this has never been a problem, it's not input lag, or even an issue with waiting for animations for end, in real life when you're playing football and you turn or stop sprinting you can't instantly kick the ball, you've got to pivot first.

FIFA gets around this by simply skipping the intermediate animation which takes all this realism out of the equation and just makes it feel like you're playing something more like Air Hockey.

You can pre-order the game on PS4 or XBO for £34.85 at ShopTo and base.com.

I will go the digital route; it's a game that I play a heck of a lot over the course of the year.

I’ll give the demo a try before committing to purchasing it this year.

The demo will be available in the PlayStation Store on Wednesday, 8 August. You can choose from twelve teams in an offline exhibition match or an online quick match. I don't recall previous demos having an online option but I may be wrong.

I will try the demo for a short time but I generally prefer to stick with playing the current version until the new one launches. And that's only just over three weeks away; 30 August!

Excellent. I think the last one did have online play. Remember playing the co-op... I think. Or maybe that was the lite version.

Traditionally i always sell last years version when the demo is released, however as i only have fifa 18, that doesn’t apply. Hoping this is great, especially online.

I remember waiting at GAME for an hour to get the ps2 demo on a disk years back. Embarassing times!

I don't think the demo had online play, but there was a beta for the co-op so you might be thinking of that.

There was a beta a few years back for Master League Online.
