I remember waiting at GAME for an hour to get the ps2 demo on a disk years back. Embarassing times!
- Player animation looks much more detailed and fluid, the way animations string together is impressive, for example when players take a touch, turn and pass they move as you'd expect them to, everything is contextual - Lighting looks much better, the pitch now looks eerily realistic from gameplay camera - Nets move more realistically

Had 3 games last night. Initial impressions good; doesn't feel wildly different, but there's enough differences to get used to. It plays differently enough that it'll take a bit of a readjustment to playing style. * Through ball isn't as successful as before and passing in general is a bit looser - doesn't always go direct to feet. Easier to overhit or underhit. * More animation on players, so they don't control the ball straight away, which is more realistic - everybody ain't Messi! * Crossing in for headers seems bit harder. Think this is a result of the defending; which seems to be easier. * In general, I think the defending has had a boost. Players harry / chase the ball down easier and close down passing routes. So less pinging the ball about / tiki taka without getting near the player with ball. * Goalkeepers seem better, saving some things that would have been def goals before * Long range shooting seems more difficult, poss due to better keeper position, but also due to them not pinging the hit as well. Especially noticeable on volleys from chipped through ball. * Still got that 'assist' wherby the opposition usually score if they get a chance at end of half or end of game
This game is just awesome. I would say that the graphics are still quite away from Fifa, however it really does play so well. I hope the kit edit patch is good enough.

As ever with PES, I will be downloading this at launch .

It's out now, Poser, and the download is 3.76Gb. Once you've had a play, let us know what your thoughts are .
My first thoughts as I played through a tournament were that it was enjoyable, felt very familiar, and I couldn't see much difference to the last version. I put this down to not having played 2018 for a long time.
It was only as I closed the game down and went to load another that I realised I had in fact been playing the 2018 version.
