Wii U version cancelled

http://www.nintendolife.com/news/2015/0 ... o_hardware

I said nearly a year ago that Wii U wouldn't be able to run it, the devs have finally figured that out too.

In in shock.

I was really looking forward to playing a rubbish version on a fisher price controller with digital triggers.

There's some new DLC with a track and a load of Audis, however I'm not going to bother.

Yeah...but it's not releasing anytime soon.

So there!

Oh that's alright then, I'll chuck them £50!

Well you can if you want. A bit premature though.

I wouldn't bother either. I played it last night and it basically feels like Willow Springs but in New Zealand. It's not the greatest of tracks.

This your payback for investing. I got 49 euro which is £35 which is exactly what I put in. Basically the game for free.

You obviously didnt pay much attention when you first bought it. The whole deal was it was an 'investment'. Unlike traditional early access, if they hit certain sales targets then you got a dividend back.

Watch the vid I posted. If you can put up with your car exploding at random then go for it.

I've not had that happen to me once in all the time I've played it.

Been playing this again recently, just picking a car and track and seeing how quick I can go on the stock setup.

My favourite combination so far had been the Caterham speed 7 on the short configuration of Sonoma raceway. Really driveable oversteer in every corner, amazing fun :toot:

Sounds good. I find it odd how you can only choose a set selection of cars for time trial, but the full set elsewhere. Means I can't post any Kart times here for example as that's in free rundown with fuel etc.

Had a couple of career races tonight, both at Donnington.

First was the Caterham cup which is lucky as I've got really familiar with it, so I won that one race. The next on the calender was driving a mk1 escort and I was just nowhere, qualified stone last and made up 6 places only to lose them all on the last lap. It was a night race though so I'll use that as an excuse. Best part was I still won the championship by a single point with no wins on the board, had no idea as it's been well over a year since I played the career mode. Must have put some good podiums in before.

The racing was brilliant though, nicely enhanced by my setup I think, really allows me to get into it.

Just got another payment. 21 euro. Check your PayPals. This turned into quite a tidy little investment.

Had a great race earlier, was absolutely on the edge and (sometimes beyond) of control to keep up with 1st all the way around.

I need some advice! I really want to get a decent sim racer on PS4 but not sure what to go for. My research suggests this and Assetto Corsa are the best options but which one is best? Ideally I'd like a custom championship mode too.

Assetto Corsa is a garbage over-hyped trainwreck of a game, especially on consoles. There is almost no single-player content and multiplayer options are limited. PCARS has its problems but is more of an actual game than a soulless hotlapping simulator. Get it cheap for now to tide you over until GT Sport.
