Here's a pic of a skin I made - just a quick and easy one to get used to the templates and specular/fresnel maps. I first saw it in Gran Turismo and remembered it being quite distinctive, so here is the BMW Concept 1 Series tii 07 for the 1M Coupe E82:

I can't see the picture (yeah, I downloaded it but it's a .exe file on my iMac).

I changed the picture after rehosting it. The download isn't the pic, it's the template files to put in the custom liveries folder on PC.

The penalties really are a pain in this. Decided to do the Le Mans race in the career (2 hours non stop is the shortest race!!). Anyway, 90 mins in I get disqualified. The rage.

Tried again. Great racing. Love seeing tyre wear to real, find a sweet spot of aids and difficulty so that 3 of us were racing throughout, so intense. Swapped tyres early and built a lead but towards the end of the race I was struggling. Fuel is weird too, I have no idea how much I should be putting in,

New DLC out today, at least on PC. Racing Icons pack containing 5 cars for only £1.99:

Bentley Speed 8
Bentley Continental GT3
BMW V12 LMR
McLaren F1 GTR
Mercedes-Benz CLK LM

Seems pretty good value for money, and at least the Continental, V12 LMR and CLK have custom livery support, so that's always good.

Seems I can choose my own Fathers Day gift and I was wondering about this. What's the group consensus on this now it's been out a while (PS4)

I really like it, and it's HUGE. The handling and scalability of difficulty is really good. It doesn't look as good as driveclub but if makes up for this in the racing with a ridiculous number of cars and the serious challenge of racing them (especially with assists off).

I have completed 2 seasons (of 10) and put maybe 20 hours into it (all cars and tracks are unlocked from the start). It's not an easy pick up and play game, I find I have to have time spare to settle in.

I wasn't at all expecting to be competitive but I find myself grabbing pole position, fastest laps and winning races consistently. Sometimes all during the same online match, sometimes just one or two of them...but always something really positive.

And there's me, not tuning the car, using a pad with just ABS.

Love it.

Project Cars 2 announced. So much for making the first an enduring racing suite. Again they're crowdfunding, still haven't had my payback from the first.

£50 minimum buy-in now. They've vanished up their own arses.

Wow that really is breathtakingly greedy, the first game is barely a few months old and still broken in places.

Can't find any mention on whether this is like the first and offers a return on your investment. The equivalent of what I had for the first game (name on an AI driver) was £35 and now that is £100.

Yeah...but it's not releasing anytime soon.

So there!

Who says you have to do that.

Don't bother and just buy the game when it comes out in a few years if you want it then.

Other than the prices being jacked up I'm not really sure what the problem is with this, the original game is out why wouldn't they be working on something else now even if it is a sequel.
