Thanks to Duckroll at Gaf:
According to Magunus' twitter account (someone who was at the event and is reporting via twitter): https://twitter.com/#!/Magunus

- Enders Project is a sequel to Anubis.
- It is not a futuristic setting, but instead set in an ancient civilization.
- The screen shown was a rendering in the Fox Engine.

He also posted artwork and a scale model which was at the event showing off the new Orbital Frame for Enders Project:

I've never played a ZOE game, what's so great about them?

Incredibly fun, fast-paced, mech combat with outstanding visuals.

Get the HD collection and you'll see for yourself.

Hush up, you can't facepalm anyone for anything after admitting never having seen Spirited Away OR Akira. :fp: :fp: :fp:

Might just do that, had a look at some clips of the first and it looked quite samey though. I thought it was a fighting game at first

The first game is not so good. The promise is there but it's not really explored well.

I was thinking about how to explain why ZOE2 is good. The plot's a bit ridiculous especially with its acting, there's a few moments when the combat or exploration is dull and the items system isn't as well implemented or necessary as it perhaps could be.

And yet.... it's just a whole lot of fun. As the game progresses, you get a real sensation of improvement in your craft. The boss fights on the whole are a lot of fun (Virus Viola and the weird orb sky boss notwithstanding) and there are some utterly fantastic setpieces which aren't driven by cutscenes. By the end when you get Zero shift it just turns sublime. Plus Beyond the Bounds is a strawberry floating amazing tune bar none.

It's not a very long game but it's very well worth a shot.

On the topic of the new game; hype meter is through the roof and I really adore the artwork and designs. Could have perhaps done without the skull motif of the Jehuty model though.

How can Staydead have not seen Akira or Spirited Away? It's like 5 hours of your life to sit down and watch them, it's not like he has anything better to do :fp:

Because they're both incredibly overrated and not actually that good? Spirited Away in particular.

Don't post Laga.
