Natch: I mean that those journeys should introduce some newer and higher-level enemies, and once you’re the right level you can just fast-travel back to the appropriate town.

To anyone who got this physically. Did it come with any paper work at all inside? I've just opened up my copy and found it completely empty. No game. :|

Acht sorry, that’s a bastard. :( Yes it came with the usual promotional leaflets.

Incidentally I finished with this a few days ago. I beat every character’s story, and unlocked the secret jobs. Then I saw the hoops you have to jump through to reach the true endgame and moved onto something else. Ridiculous. Also a shame, since the ‘ending’ felt a bit anticlimactic as was. Still, I enjoyed most of it.

Cheers. I guess that at least that means its more likely they just sealed an empty box by accident.

I don't actually recall it coming with anything (bar the game of course), if anything just a promo leaflet that gets thrown in with the recycling,

Dang, Matt, that's odd and frustrating! But... not totally unheard of. Recently, some copies of Starlink were reported to have not included a game cartridge.

I don't own the game myself but few Switch games are shipped with leaflets: the cases usually only contain a cartridge. I've checked unboxing vids on YouTube for Octopath (UK / Euro standard version) and it seems that no leaflets are included:

I think the best option could be to return to the seller and tell them of the predicament. Good luck, dude!

Y’all have me concerned that I’ve misremembered now. Maybe I didn’t get a leaflet... I won’t be able to confirm until the weekend, I’m afraid.

On a tangent... a range of alternative covers are available to download and print via MyNintendo.

They look lovely! If I had a printer, I'd be all over them!

Err... in case I ever get the game.

Ah. Well if you like it so far, you should like it even more when almost any of the other characters turn up!

There's no mechanical rush as the characters will always wait to progress their stories. That said, most of the time chapter 2 for one character is physically located behind chapter 1 for another so you may as well pick them up if you're in the area.

Leveling and experience is pretty logarithmic in nature so if you take a low level character to a high level area they catch up really well. My starting character never really significantly outlevelled everyone else despite chopping and changing my party between 6 or 7 of the characters until I began properly grinding for endgame.

So there shouldn't be an issue if you want to leave the others for a little bit. You will, naturally, want everyone for the endgame, however.

I've been playing it since Christmas in handheld and haven't had any issues with text, though I would agree it is a little on the small side.

Great game, got me hoping we'll get a new Bravely Default or a port of the first two.

Any idea where to level up? I have all characters now but all chapter 2 levels are 20+ and most of my characters are level 10

The resident beasties should be level 11 now. When you’re feeling brave, the next few regions you journey into should be around level 17 in places.
