I had the opportunity for some Serious Gaming™ this weekend for the first time in a long time, and managed to put about eight-and-a-half hours into this.

I absolutely loved it.

One of my favourite games of all-time is Secret of Mana, and there's definitely echoes of that in this with the multiple character dynamics. It's lovely to look at and the music is superb.

I got smashed by Gaston, before I realised that the break mechanic was actually a way to stop an enemy attacking as much as just a way of dealing greater damage.

Sometimes you need to break them just to give you time to sort yourself out.

A hint is if you dont have many attacks left on your current go, defend so your player strikes first on the next round and break them than. This gives you two full turns to dish damage
