I had issues with controls now and again, but Trico quickly won me over. Ditto the stained glass!

I was playing on a launch PS4 and had no issue with the framerate.

I swear there were parts where it dipped into single figures. Never had a problem with any other games on my PS4.

I'm sure it had slow down, I don't recall it being as bad as that but it also wouldn't be a deal breaker for me, not unless it caused me annoying deaths/happened super frequently.

You heartless monster.

You’ve got me, fair play. I did bond with the beast, I wanted to help it, protect it, control it, but it was a troublesome relationship, from start to finish. And when I was struggling with controls and cameras and silly drops in frame rate (PS4) it reduced my experience.

I finished the game on a Pro. Far, far better experience. But still with absolutely appalling controls and camera. Simplistic level structure (that I might not have noticed without the other drawbacks, might have even enjoyed). Repetitive puzzle solving. The all too frequent jumping puzzles that caused my character to continually *just reach* a ledge and pull himself back on. Over and over again.

LET ME PLAY THE GAME!? Not watch my character pull himself up onto ledges.

The feeling of hopelessness when lost in the game design, when you just don’t know what to do next, when the actual way forward is to throw yourself off.

Such a beautiful thing, but so flawed. Like the girlfriends I didn’t marry.
