Wow. After ten years or so... it was worth it. Incredible.

That was the last time you completed a game? Well done!

Yes?

Is anyone really going in expecting a masterpiece?

I feel that the game is a masterpiece although - like most games - I could see why some folk may not enjoy it.

in my eyes the intricate environments, wonderful relationship between the boy and Trico, and the enjoyably puzzling gameplay easily overcome the occasionally wonky controls and Trico's sometimes obtuse behaviour. Easily.

With so many reviews easily accessible nowdays, it's not unusual to find a bad review(s) of any game, really. I tend to rely way more on my own gut feeling than ever before; i.e. does the game appeal to me personally rather than thinking "I will only buy it if it gets a Metacritic of at least 91" or whatever. I still read reviews, but more as a broad check for any major problems or commonly reported issues.

I have no qualms calling it a flawed masterpiece

Also £30 in store Tesco for those out and about.

Really enjoying this so far, about 2 hours in I think. Love just about everything about it. Only negative is the button prompts, pointless, hopefullu patch them out.

How people can say the graphics are bad is bizarre, stunning in places especially Trico (who so far seems to be behaving himself).

Just finished this tonight after getting it for Christmas. A wonderful, but flawed and oftentimes frustrating experience. That last hour was just magical. The view from the top at the end, HOLY gooseberry fool!

Probably a 9/10 games for me. What I wouldn't give to have a 60fps version of this game, though.

I'm not invested in the "Ico-verse" but was there any connection to the previous 2 games that I didn't get?

So far am loving this - the controls are deliberately loose and have been since the first game.

The graphics are amazing at times and a little average at other times, but overall a sound effort. The way the feathers move on trico is just stunning!

I hope this game sells well as it deserves it. Picked it up for £20, so a great bargain!
