Finally cracked Crappy B on my last attempt before I gave up last night. That was the only part of the game I've had serious issue with.

Just a couple more things to collect and I'm 100% done.

There's not much to do in the last world before you expand it, is there? Feels like they just sort of forgot to put the level in.

I think I expanded it before I even tried it out so I'm not sure what it was like before, but I did feel underwhelmed by the size of it. There may be a hidden way in to someplace that I haven't found yet.

Yeah, worlds 3 to 5 I just expanded as soon as I unlocked them. Sod exploring everywhere twice.

Might just be me. I've always hated boss battles. This one does everything that I loathe.

Trial and error, way too many phases so you have to repeat every time you fail, and no apparent way to restore health.

uk.ign.com/articles/2017/09/25/yooka-laylee-switch-release-held-up-by-engine-problems

I said earlier in the thread that using Unity was a huge mistake.

Crap looking games with crap console performance. Meanwhile Unreal Engine 4 and idTech 6 are thriving on Switch.

Hide your eyes Jawa! Switch version lands on 14/12/17.
Yooka-Laylee for Nintendo Switch features a shed-load of polish and updates, including single-JoyCon play across all eight multiplayer games, a custom Achievement system, plus the ability to take our collecting duo on the go without the need for extravagant extension leads!

The Playtonic team has spent many, many months optimising Yooka-Laylee for Nintendo Switch (with technical help and support from Nintendo and Unity themselves!) and we believe we’re delivering a version Nintendo fans can be proud of.

Players can expect a quality experience both on and away from the television and on top of that, Switch players will benefit from the huge list of updates we’ve added since launch such as a brand new camera mode, control improvements, menu options, music… and a lot more!

Thanks again for your continued support and patience. We hope you agree Yooka-Laylee for Nintendo Switch is worth the wait!

It's been so long coming I'd forgotten about this. Nice. About time.

I was wondering what to have as my Christmas day game. This could be a surprise candidate.

It needs to be cheap. Been out a long time on other platforms and a lot of those were cheap kickstarter buys, being released soon after an amazing platformer on the system. They need to go cheap.

You'll pay your £49.99 with shitty shoehorned in motion controls and like it.

Yeah this has come out just in time for me to take back with me on the flight to the UK, but it needs to be under £20 in order to qualify for such a purchase. If they got closer to a full priced game I'll likely pick up another digital game instead.

I was tempted by Poi the other night, any opinions?

I’ve only played the opening stage so far (it’s going to go in the backlog behind Morphite, Odyssey, Skyrim, Breath and more  ) but I can tell that I’m gonna like it. It’s a 90s-type 3D platformer that is solid and fun although the styling is bland. To be honest I suspect that most folk wouldn’t look twice at it but, gameplay wise, it seems pretty decent. I wouldn’t suggest it as a key purchase but, if you know what you’re getting into, it could be worthwhile.

Day one on Switch for me. If you are after an N64 style platformer then it has to be played on a Nintendo console for the full experience!

Is this digital only?

At the moment, physical release may follow though.

I'll bite on this at some point if it has a reasonable price.
