I wish this was on Kickstarter so I could support it. I know that's sort of crazy...

Get Nintendo on board, can't see it causing a fuss otherwise.

I didn't want to say, but I too would love to see it on Wii U. PS4 and Xbox it'll probably do poorly, which is sad. Wii U it would feel right. If they'd announced that today I'd have been ecstatic.

BK (kind of) and Spider-Man all coming home (kind of) on the same day. Dem feels.

Regardless though I'll be keeping an eye on this.

If anyone misses Nuts and Bolts then there is a new game based around building your own seige machines on steam called Besiege. It's in early access for £5 but is very polished and worth the fiver already.

I thought Grant Kirkhope said this project was cancelled? Guess he was lying.

He wasn't 'lying'. The original version of it was dead, by all accounts.

The original attempt, as seen by the old tweets on their account, was quite some time ago. The idea obviously survived, and this time it sounds like it will work out as they've secured funding (which they didn't seem to get the first time, seemingly).

I, for one, am pretty excited to see what they're working on. With a Hat in Time already in development, 2015 might see the 3D platformer being reborn!

It would be nice to have a proper 3d adventure platformer! I miss the golden generation when we had sm 64 and both banjo kazooies!

I've got the 360 set up in the bedroom purely for a bit of banjo kazooie & nuts and bolts every now and then.

Provisionally IN.

Is a Hat in Time the Wii U game they showed off a few years back?

Nuts & Bolts

Looking forward to this, not nearly enough platformers these days.

There isn't enough 3D platformers. This is more than welcome.

If this is a full-blown 3D platformer and appears on the Wii U, that'll tip me. Regardless of whether I can afford to buy the console or not.

I like 3D platformers but the genre has seemingly gone out of fashion. Although they attract derision because of the weak, disappointing characterisation aspects, the Pac Ghostly games are good fun; unadventurous but solid. Beyond those, in recent times the only console 3D platformers I can think of are Ratchet and Clank: Nexus and Super Mario 3D World (both seemingly ace even though I've barely scraped their surfaces), alongside Sonic Boom (which I've said enough about before).

So, yeah, I'm interested in a Banjo Kazooie sequel. I'll be pleasantly surprised if it gets near the quality of the originals.
