Held off getting it on other systems as I've wanted to play this on the Switch, hopefully £20 or less or I'll be holding out till its cheaper.

Theyre touting it as the best optimised version which suggests to me it'll be a full price release.

Indeed. Lego city undercover for example is down below £20 for Xbox and PS but it’s still above £30 everywhere for the switch. I except the same with Yooka Laylee and WWE 2K18 whenever that actually comes out.

Went into Game today for the first time in a long time. Picked this up for £9.99 brand new on xbox one. First time ever I've found something cheaper there than anywhere else.

Aren't we meant to be getting a free DLC world for kickstarting this? Or is that one of those things I've made up?

There was meant to be free DLC. Whether we get it or not is another matter entirely.

I guess they've been tied up with the Switch version. Maybe we will hear something by Spring.

I still need to do those strawberry floating kart things anyway

£34.99 is the base price for the game on Steam and Xbox (when it isn't on sale), there's no reason to suspect it'll be less than that.

I'm expecting £49.99 or higher.

It’s a shame. I really wanted to get it on the switch but realistically I’m probably not going to play it on handheld mode much so it seemed a massive waste of money not to buy it for £9.99 and pay full price instead.

Super tempted to buy this while it's half price on Steam and save it for Christmas...do folks feel the patches improved the game's flaws significantly? Was reading a few pages back about the frustrating Kartos stuff so I imagine it's not perfect

Kartos and Rextro are still broken and awful. Everything else is decent enough.

Okay, as you know I was a little - ahem - “critical” of Playtonic over their handling of the cancellation of Yooka-Laylee on Wii U. But... that’s water under the bridge and it seems that they have done a very good job in porting the game to Switch.

I would be interested in trying it out although that £35 eShop price feels, to me, a bit steep.

I gotta be strong, still... really don’t want to spend thirty-five wraps on it.
