So I was watching Thor: Ragnarok on Friday night when the film cut out (apparently the extractor fan stopped working). It was probably 30 mins before the end of the film.
They couldn't fix it so they just kicked us all out and gave us a couple of free tickets.

So I just want to watch the ending without having to sit through the first couple of hours again. Does anybody know where I can do this?

Apologies if this is against the TOS but if someone could PM me I'd appreciate it. I don't use torrents which is why I'm asking, cheers :simper:

If you've got free tickets you could just walk into another Thor showing 90 minutes after the film has started.

Could do, but I don't particularly want to travel to the cinema to sit down for 30 minutes and then leave.

Plus I wouldn't know when that would be because of varying pre-roll

Wait for a webrip then pirate it I guess? It's a brand new film you aren't going to get a fancy home version for a while

Euuurgh. Hold yourself up to a higher standard of piracy and never bother with a CAM rip.

Just see it in cinema.

Downloads should be Blu Ray 720p rip minimum.

Pick something else showing on the same floor at the cinema that finishes around 35-40 minutes before the end of Thor. Then just nip in on the way out.

Learn how to repair projectors, then invent a time machine. Then you can go back in time, get yourself a job as the projectionist and change your past so that you never missed it in the first place.

They’ve given you free tickets. Find something else you want to watch that finishes just before the end of a showing of Thor. Watch the other movie and then go into the Thor showing and see the end.

Isn't that a bit illegal?

Possible consequences of doing that: Being banned from the cinema

And it's not exactly subtle, especially at my local as they have security camera in the hallway where the entrances are.

People do it all the time and usually without a damn good reason for it like you have.

If you want to be safe and a good boy though then wait for the DVD/Blu-Ray to come out.

Fade, assuming you read this within half a day or so of me posting it: I see your location on your profile is "unknown" but there's a union flag on your signature so I'm going to presume you're in the UK. There's a 16:25 flight out of Heathrow tomorrow (that's Monday 30th October). If you're in the North you can get a train to make it in time. The flight changes in Dubai before heading on to Melbourne. Layover and get the 11:40 (local time) flight on Wednesday to Wellington, New Zealand.

I have it on good authority that Taika Waititi (the director of the film) lives at 2420 Sunrise Avenue, Wellington. Hop the fence on the northwest side of the property. He will probably be in Hollywood anyway, but if he's not, just ask him nicely and I'm sure he'll play you the last half hour, possibly with director's commentary.

If he IS in Hollywood, break into the lounge and pull up the rug to find a trap door. In Taika Waititi's basement is a working prototype time machine that was posted to him in an erroneous espionage attempt by the people's republic of China while trying to steal Soviet-era science equipment out of Magnitogorsk. Use the time machine to travel back to Friday.

Don't bother to go straight to the cinema though as the same thing will happen. Instead, visit the John Deere exhibition in Tunbridge Wells, and hoover up as much free merch as you possibly can, or any exciting publicity materials you come across.

Then you need to head 2.7km south-south-west of your home, to the rented flat of Darren Hulme, disgruntled cinema operative, and a former farmhand. Use your materials to convince Darren to rekindle his love for the mechanized farming equipment industry. In doing so, you will make him an ex-ex-tractor fan. With his zest for life back, Darren will no longer break during the Thor showing, and you can visit again safe in the knowledge your viewing will be unspoilt.

You could also then use the time machine to zip forward and just watch the last thirty minutes of the movie, though I'm not sure about the legality of such a move.

At last I reached the lobby of the cinema. Wiping the perspiration from the visor of my radiation suit I squinted and made vaguely the outline of a man---surely dead. But stepping closer over the glowing shrapnel of some alien machine I thought for a moment I heard, through that thick stale air, its pained wheeze and I realised with panic and horror that the thing still clung to life. Close enough now to recognise its pallor and diagnose its burns---radiation, though a sort our physicists had yet to name---I realised slowly and with great confusion the bizarre mechanics of the scene before me. I could see now that the man's head, arms, and torso, along with tubes filled with light and bulbs that seemed to suck light away, shards of metal, and a great mass of wires, hung from a wall without crack or scratch or damage. The man and his ship were protruding from solid brick.

All of a sudden the sickly creature raised its head and met my eyes. Blood spraying from its mouth even as it made these words, it spoke to me: "I just wanted to see the last thirty minutes of Thor: Ragnarok."

The government men behind me opened fire.

The trouble is then he's stuck in an endless loop of doing this until he can sit through the same film twice.
