Deal with it dog lovers.
Seriously though, dogs and cats are both cool.
First of all, bullshit.
Secondly, just once Id like to see you make a bold inflammatory opinion and stick with it, instead of like 'but seriously I respect all of your opinions and we're entitled to our own viewpoints'. Thats not how arguments work.
You say, dogs are gooseberry fool cats are ace, deal with it fags. Then walk away. No need for the 'teehee only j/k I respect all of your arguments'.

I like both, it's not my fault.
I don't think I'd ever get a dog myself though, too high maintenence. Walks, cleaning up their gooseberry fool, nah mayne aint got no tym for dat.
Cats are cool because they look after themselves, they can roam all over the street and not get lost, they bury their gooseberry fool under the hedges so you don't have to pick it off the lawn all the time, they clean themselves so they don't start stinking. Their saliva even has natural deodorisers in in it. Compare that with a dog, not doing any of the above and running and barking like an idiot every time the doorbell rings, chewing things up and making a mess everywhere they go.
I actually love my dog but the three cats I have put together require less work than her alone.

This is actually a consequence of breed and poor training. You can get breeds which are very thorough in cleaning themselves and keeping themselves tidy. And if you dont train a dog not to bark and chew gooseberry fool up, then it will continue to do so.
Not too high maintenance. Sort the tank out first case, then they need nothing apart from daily feeds and the occasional tank clean. Probably less hands on than a tortoise.
High maintenance. If I had a big enough garden, I'd quite like to keep a couple of goats.
We have goats at mine. Got some woody kind of land rising up a hill behind our house so we stuck a few goats in there to help keep it tidy. Got cats too, but honestly couldn't choose between cats and dogs. Lived with cats my whole life but my girlfriend's dog is just the best dog ever.
I think you should go for a nice family friendly pet rock, I would just be careful as I hear they have an obsession with glass, they love the stuff, it's like cat nip but for rocks.

We've a cat, two dogs and some tropical fish. The dogs have it. They're strawberry floating awesome.
I used to be a cat man, but when we got the dogs, my eyes were opened to how selfish and manipulative cats are. They only show you affection when they want something (food, pet, outside), and literally do not leave you alone until they get it. They'll leave fur everywhere, scratch everything and everyone, sit wherever the strawberry float they want and get arsey when you move them. And Jesus Christ, their piss and gooseberry fool smells so much worse than a dogs. Makes me actually wretch.
