I found using remote play very hit and miss. What I have found it works really well for is when your playing open world games and you're just going around the map going for the various collectibles, rather than getting into combat/doing missions. Games like Infamous, Assasins Creed and Tomb Raider. I did a lot of he free-roaming collectibles using remote play. It's certainly a cool handy feature, but I don't think it's quite as functional as Sony try to make out. Playing a fast paced FPS or action games, it just fails due to the cumbersome controls.

I personally fill my Vita with the 'indie' titles that are often cross-buy. These games suit the Vita perfectly and I strongly believe it's the best way to play them. Games like Olli Olli, Hotlime Miami, Fez and Velocity Ultra (and it's sequel which is out tomorrow) are fantastic pick up and play titles that the Vita handles perfectly.

Edit: oh and another thing about remote play is I have only found it useable when in range of the PS4. Using it over a network away from the house, it works but (for me) it's so laggy and poor visually, I never want to try it again.

It's a fast paced action RPG that is kinda like Zelda.....but better :shifty:

I picked up rogue legacy yesterday and it's perfect for the vita .I played the game a good bit on the pc but it seems a great fit for vita as games can last only a few minutes sometimes. The colours and style also look amazing .

By the way the ps vita headphones which only cost me a fiver are brilliant,no idea how Sony made such a good pair of headphones for the really low price but they compete easily with my more expensive sennheiser

Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair is out this week, £34.99.

Still have to pick up the first one too. :shifty:

I like the sound of both but, to me, they're both at strong money for Vita games, when I've still got so many uncompleted games on the system.

I'll get round to posting my Vita recommendations soon. Promise.

No problem, Poser! :D

Plus, don't forget that Velocity 2X is out today. And it's free if you have PS Plus as well. Cross Buy between Vita and PS4 too.

Looking forward to this as I loved the original one (which was a PS Plus freebie too months ago.)

I never got into the first one, though that was more through competition with other Vita PS+ titles.

There is more on-foot stuff than I think I was expecting - this looks really good fun.

I reviewed Velocity 2X and it's better to play on PS4 http://www.retrocollect.com/Reviews/velocity-2x-review.html

But... but... Vita4LIFE!!!

I'll probably play it on the Vita most.

I'm really impressed at how slowly the battery drains on the slim version. I've spent about 6 hours playing and it's only about 50% drained. Mini reviews time!

Lumines: Electronic Symphony
Pretty much the same as the PSP games, only shinier. I miss puzzle mode (unless it's there and I'm being stupid) and got hand cramps from lasting 62 minutes in voyage mode. And I still need another 100,000 points or so to beat H_S_H. :x

Gravity Rush
Wow. Really impressed so far (about an hour in, just sorted out Kat's home). Love the graphic style, and the open world nature of the missions and such. I can see myself getting sucked in to this. Only gripes so far are the gravity controls and the combat seems a bit plain...but I'm sure the former just takes time to get used to and maybe the latter sees more depth further into the game.

Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc (Vita) – Was £34.99/€39.99/AU$54.95, now £19.99/€24.99/AU$32.95

That'll do, PSN EU.

That'll do.

8-)

Is that the first game? If not, can I get into it without having played others?

Sweet, thanks. Might be rude not to, given how much everyone on here has banged on about it.

Yes. Everyone with a Vita must play Virtue's Last Reward.

Or hand their Vita membership in shame. Those who are shamed SHALL be named.

It's an experience not be missed. If someone described the game to me I'd have been all :dread: Interactive graphic novel with... LOGIC PUZZLES?! Get the strawberry float away from me with that gooseberry fool!! But I almost didn't put my Vita down after starting it. Engrossing stuff. Get it.

It seems that Don't Starve: Giant Edition is out for the Vita too.

I didn't start it on the PS4 but I reckon it'll suit to the Vita better. No cross buy though, and the price is a steep £11.49. :dread:

Yeah, the price has put me off that a bit. I played and loved it on PS4, but never survived for longer than 9 days. It is a very, very hard game.
