There was a guy in our year at school who used to hide packets of sweets in his sock and would bend down to pretend to tie his shoelaces in order to eat them.

You're cheaper than him.

XCOM bought.

Will go against my better judgement (I stink at strat games) and buy Civ Rev 2 a little later down the line. Will pick Severed up too, probably.

Kinda tempted by Borderlands but I've heard it's a pretty bad port.

I played it back when it was released, it was ok if you really wanted to play Borderlands on the go. Hell of a lot of content in it but it really struggles on the machine and the back touch is used for some quite essential controls (which isn't a great idea). Frame rate was dog gooseberry fool too.

Snapped up Xcom, might actually get round to playing it on the Vita even though I have it on PC and Xbone :fp:

Agreeing with this, pretty much my experience of it.

Civ Rev 2 and Severed are great, people should get on those. I'm very tempted by Xcom myself.

Also everyone buy Looney Tunes: Galactic Sports

It plays okay actually Maf. Certainly has all the content. Frame rate was a little dodgy, but that got fixed reasonable well with an update ages ago.

It's still a good game on Vita

I'd consider buying it if not for the fact I've found FPS games on Vita to be less than ideal to play. Probably me just being picky, but I've not been able to stick with one all the way through to completion.

There's a new, piss-easy home-brew thing out http://henkaku.xyz You just install it from the browser. You move emulators and stuff over with an FTP program.

Tried out the Mega Drive emulator with ToeJam & Earl and Sonic 3 & Knuckles. The games run perfectly but there's issues with the audio skipping. Metroid Fusion works really well on the GBA emulator but the sound is a bit weird with that too. Tried out Super Metroid on the SNES emulator and that was really stuttery.

There's a port of Doom and Quake but I haven't tried them yet.

Installed it.

Biggest use for me at the moment is it let's you do the Whitelist hack on Vita TV. But still doesn't work with all games. Not even all PSP games, embarrassingly.

I just picked up a 64gb card off of our very own Alpha Ex! I love my vita, 16gb was far too restricted, I'll fill a 64gb card easily but I'll be far more comfortable.

I just wish Sony paid more care to the vita and we had a few more big exclusive titles

I still don't understand the reason why they did this. Sounds like one of the weirdo decisions you'd expect from Nintendo or something

Nothing about their approach to the PSTV makes any sense at all.

The people who wrote Henkaku haven't done anything to allow piracy in any way. Unfortunately, after trying the Whitelist methods available, I'm left hoping someone does make a way to play PSP ISOs because I can't play the PSP games which I bought and can download (but can't play) on my Vita TV.

The Retrorarch SNES emulator is now compatible, apparently it's better. But I assume some awesome new software will be released now that the Vita's full power has been unlocked.
