PS3 display reset

God I'm pissed off.

I just got home, turned my PS3 on and got a message saying "HDMI output has been found" (or something like that) and now the display is totally messed up. It's all in the wrong resolution, bad colour, etc. My mum says while I was out she wiped my consoles down with a cloth because they had dust on.

What the hell has she done? She says she definitely didn't knock any cables out.

I'm hoping I just have to put all the settings back to the way they were before right? I can't remember how they were set though. strawberry float sake.

Try holding down the power button for 10 seconds. It should reset to a resolution that works on the TV, then you can go to display and optimise it.

Not only that, she's completely scratched the actual PS3 by wiping it with whatever it was she used.
