With the unveiling of the PS4 now only weeks away, for those wondering what Sony might show it might be worth looking back to E3 2005 for hints.

And you watch everyone fall for Sony and MS's bullshit this time around. They always do.

Basically, take what you see over the course of the next several months and half it.

While I do agree a lot of what they talked about was bollocks if we had been shown Halo 4 at the launch of 360 I think most people would have said it was beyond the capability of the 360.

I'm not too sure about that considering Gears of War was shown at the unveiling.

It would be amazing if they could do that Killzone trailer again but in real time on PS4

I'd expect PS4 to do more really, most of what was impressive about the Killzone tech demo was the animations that wouldn't really be practical in a game anyway. In many ways Killzone 3 is more impressive than the 2005 demo.

Motorstorm, on the other hand, came no where near the early demo.

The unveiling of the PS3 reminds me of the vibe that's currently going round about the PS4 and next Xbox. After Sony showed off some of their trailers and whatnot everyone was saying how the 360 couldn't compete and of course the famous "Xbox 360 is just Xbox 1.5" quote. Right now it seems a lot of people are saying or have convinced themselves that the PS4 will blow the next Xbox is away and the Next Xbox will be under-powered in comparison.

Sony did a good job getting everyone hyped up about the PS3 after their E3 unveiling. In game or not they did a good job of making a lot of 360 games (probably apart from Gears) look lackluster in comparison.

I think it will be pretty obvious if they are overselling things this time. If they show stuff that is way beyond what modders have shown with super high end PCs I think it's safe to assume it's crap.
I only take notice of ingame footage which is less likely to be fake.

Wish they did that Final Fantasy 7 remake, that trailer looks strawberry floating awesome. It would sell out like crazy..

Was it really that long ago?

How time flies! I do hope Sony have learnt from their mistakes. I am saying yes, going by how strong they have ended this gen.

The poll question was about games/graphics, not sales. I made the thread so we could compare it to whatever Sony show in 2 weeks.
