Where's the best place to pre order this thing then in terms of reliably getting it on day one?

The people who buy bluray movies is shrinking and the people who buy 4K blurays is an absolute niche of that number. Adding a drive in to play them and passing the cost on to the consumer is more of a hindrance than a help

MS have put out a new machine with a 4K Blu Ray player at £249 so while the price is still good I'm sure Sony could have managed it for a £100 more.

Hopefully I'll be able to take my 2TB drive out of my existing PS4 and put it in the Pro.

I'm wondering about that. I would definitely not want to start downloading the games again :dread: .

This, I doubt many people have 4K blu Ray discs.

True. I saw somewhere selling them for 25 notes a pop, too.

Sony does need to add support for external hard disks, across all consoles. Not really relevant to the new consoles, but accessible capacity upgrades ia essential.

I'd imagine the percentage of owners of 4K BluRay discs is in some way linked to the percentage of owners of 4K HDR TVs...so not very many at the moment then.

I'm sure they will, I'm glad that the majority of my X1/360 games will be there when I plug in my external drives into my Scorpio. The thought of downloading them all again is awful. :dread:

I am hoping that this will *eventually* happen. I can't think why it hasn't been implemented already; even Nintendo - Nintendo! - allows for this on the Wii U.

Not really bothered about re-downloading, more bothered that I will be able to use the drive at all in the new console.

You'd think that, if the console is linked to the same account, it should just be swappable. Though i know that's not how it's worked until now.

1080p remote play seals the deal for me.

If you put your 2TB into Neo you'd have to take out the 1TB one right?
