Sony fcuked up. They should have delayed and released the Pro next year so as to go toe to toe with MS. By the time Scorpio launches, the Pro will seem incredibly underpowered in comparison.
Sony have just handed over the next phase of the console phase to Microsoft, and are right back to where they were with the PS3 after they had enjoyed immense success with PS2.
And no, Nintendo don't count. That company hasn't been relevant for over a decade.
I never bothered watching the meeting, I just have a HDTV with no intention of upgrading to 4K any time soon.....will I see any benefits on a pro over my standard PS4?

In Apple vernacular, it is the iPhone Plus - and that's fine with me. Not a next-gen console just a spec boost for those that want it.
Very reasonably priced. Although it might be able to produce 4K I wonder if that can really be hit with brand new triple A games? I personally will be happy with 1080p 60fps in all games.

You mean the decade in which Nintendo spent most of the time as company behind the best selling home console? That decade? Yeah, totally not relevant to the industry they dominated.
Anyway.
You're wrong about the next MS console, its going to be ridiculously expensive, wouldn't be surprised if it ended up selling less than the Wii U.

Nope... The Scorpio is going to see MS rise up out of the ashes like a Phoenix. The Scorpio is going to be the equivalent of the XBox 360 when MS ruled the market...
And no, Nintendo doesn't count. The NX has failure written all over it!
