I am having issues with trophies on PS4 and sniper 3 too.... First world problems.

Took the effort to look for collectibles and long shots, stats say 100%, trophies say negative!

The best way is probably delete the game save and start over, unfortunately. :(

I would wait until PSN has settled down. I played a whole bunch of TWD S2 while it was down and after much sycning and reloading of trophies they eventually turned up when PSN was back.

Same here. I just don't care about them. I don't even particularly understand them, TBH. Do people play through games with a list of trophies and how to get them? It just sounds like a lot of hassle to me. I just play a game, enjoy it, and finish it if I can/have time, or until something better comes along.

I've never achieved a platinum in anything  / 8-)

It could be argued people who do care about trophies get more of their money's worth compared to people who just finish the story and move on. But on the flip side you could say time = money and you don't think it's worth the effort. I fall somewhere between the two as I enjoy the trophies which challenge me to do something I normally wouldn't. My favourite example being in L4D where you got a trophy for headshotting a Hunter sans scope. I cared more about trying to do the thing than the fact it added to my gamerscore.

Also having a trophy to prove that you've finished Game X on the most hardest difficulty can be satisifying.

*glares at TLOU* :(

Fair enough. I think that for me, when you're playing an adventure game, it makes the game feel less immersive if you're chasing trophies. If I'm busy playing Uncharted, I'm busy playing it. I don't want to have to think about how I'm playing it too much.

However, I can see the appeal of trophies in more challenge-based games. I've not played it, but Trials would be a good example, or OlliOlli (oi oi!), or Motorstorm RC.

The way OlliOlli lists what you need to do before each level is brilliant, and it means they are a real target and the game has been designed around that.

It's just my opinion and obviously the beauty of games is that you can play them however the hell you want. Obviously.

Which is why I turn trophy notifications off as there's nothing worse than a trophy pop-up to ruin a moment.

I think what a lot of people do is play the game as you would and then replay it to get the trophies they missed out on. You also have to remember games had collect-a-thons and er, aims outside of core gameplay before achievements and trophies in games was even a thing, so for people who went for those 100% completions trophies and achievements is a nice little bonus.

I like trophies, but most of the time I just want to play the game and be rewarded for playing it. The Walking Dead had a great implementation, just complete the game to get all of the trophies. Having to play through a game several times or complete it at the hardest difficulty to get all doesn't appeal.

Yes?

To be fair, Velocity 2X is one of the best games of the year. TxK is also very, very good as is Joe Danger. I hear Sports Friends is great if you have a few Move controllers and friends.....so no good for me then :(

Games with Gold has been so much better than Plus for the past couple of months now.

Doesn't the DS4 function as well as a Move controller? I thought that was the whole point of the light.

Also, re Games with Gold, it's all well and good saying they've done better for a couple of months, but Sony's been doing this for about three years now. I realise if gamers are looking at it right now and making a purchasing decision, then yes, GWG looks much better. I really, sincerely hope Sony is going to pull its finger out in the run-up to Xmas. Only 3 more IGC announcements before Chrimbo. :dread:

For current gen stuff? Fez, Towerfall, Trine 2, PixelJunk Shooter Ultimate, and Stick it to the Man are better than anything Games with Gold has had for Xbox One. I'd Guacamelee is only thing of real quality the service they've had on it.
