Yeah, the setup experience of all of the new consoles is pretty poor. Stick with it, glowy - my PS4 took quite a while to update during the launch period but it completed in the end.

On the PS4 updates are automatically downloaded when you turn the machine on*. I find it best to let them complete before trying to run a game. Check the menu option [Notifications] / [Downloads] to see how they are progressing.

* there is an option to turn on automatic downloading during standby if you'd prefer that.

Maybe you should try easing the pain by buying pure pool and laughing at how broken the online is.
It's almost worth buying just to witness the pure shitness.

Yeah I think so I've not played it yet even though I have the season pass .

I picked up a PS4 yesterday and am loving it so far. Such a tiny little machine and is so quiet compared to my old fat PS3.

I have been stacking up the PS+ games since the launch and got TLOU bundle so have a fair bit to play through. Are there any other games I should be looking at picking up? Other than that pool game.

I only need TLoU.

Ps plus doesn't interest me really, never used it when I had a ps3.

Love the speaker on the controller though.

PS+ is great, you're missing out on some great stuff.

I didn't know the controller had a speaker in until I was playing Resogun and a woman started speaking to me.

Yes and Yes! Although most people rave about PS Plus - and I can understand that the value, particularly for the PS3, is excellent - the only thing thing I've downloaded is Resogun. I'm just not a fan of renting games.

The Resogun voice unexpectedly booming out of my DualShock 4 was my highlight from the PS4 launch :-).

Glowy, welcome on board! I'll add you up later. You guys all with TLoU is seriously tempting me to get it. Having all the content digitally on PS3 is putting me off though, with no discount on the PS4 version.

That's the bit that stings a little. On PS3 I could merrily buy games and play online; upon picking up the PS4 the forty quid annual entry fee applies. Sony has hailed the huge increase in PS Plus membership since the launch of the PS4 but I feel that they really need to boost up the benefits for PS4 owners. But I'm not denying the attractiveness for PS3 owners - PS Plus grants access to a huge array of great titles.
