Great move from Sony. The ability to share save data between the two platforms is also superb. The PSP has such a great software library. I hope games like Monster Hunter 3rd (and other titles) will be able to make use of the other analogue pad for the camera though.

New Monster Hunter? Save games I can swap between PS3 and PSP? Network play on the PS3? Where do I sign up.

Pretty excited about this, there are loads of PSP games that I'd like to play without crippling my wrists. Oh and Dissidia Final Fantasy with a proper online mode please Sony :wub:

This, this and this. Well, besides the Monster hunter part but the ability to play in lovely HD at home while then being able to carry on that game on the move with super high resolution on a smaller screen

The official site for Monster Hunter Portable 3rd HD has opened with confirmation of a major new feature for PS3 players. According to the site, the PS3 version will use the Dual Shock 3's right stick for camera controls.

Well, that's me happy.

Happy with that. They announced the second stick will be in the PSN release of MHP3 ready for NGP support.

The excellent Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker is set to make the jump from PSP to PS3, with an official announcement expected at E3 in early June.

That's according to JVN (Google translation), which reports that the title will be confirmed as one of the earliest games in the newly announced PSP Remaster series, which will see top PSP games remade with HD visuals for PS3.

The site says Peace Walker will enjoy gameplay adapted to fit PS3's DualShock pad and that it'll likely be made available as a PSN download rather than as a Blu-ray retail release. It all sounds perfectly likely to us, and we haven't got too long to wait to find out.

Monster Hunter Portable 3rd HD Ver. is the first game to officially get the PSP Remaster treatment, and a God of War collection packing in PSP's Chains of Olympus and Ghost of Sparta is being widely tipped for PS3 too.

Excellent news. I might be able to actually try out the online stuff this time.

I wonder if VC and Final Fantasy/Kingdom Hearts will get the same treatment?
