Silent Hills is dead - For me, it's always like this.

Anything to do with games at all.

strawberry floating hell, that is just

Thing is, I can watch that quite easily (albeit find it freaky as anything.)

Play it? No strawberry floating way. Like Beyonce, I'm a survivor. My mind simply won't let me do stupid gooseberry fool.

Mother of strawberry float. There is literally no way I'll be able to play through this game.

Pretty much sums up how I feel about it as well  I was on the edge of my seat watching it but the thought of actually playing it

Absolutely amazing trailer though. That oversized doll thing is literally the sort of creepy gooseberry fool i'd have in some of my nightmares. :dread: I imagine a lot of that was scripted stuff for the sake of the trailer but regardless I really hope they can nail the gameplay to this. So far it looks like it has a huge amount of potential to be one of the most stand out horror games in years and maybe even this gen.

Silent Hills may release episodically

Silent Hills may release in episodes over time, Hideo Kojima revealed at Tokyo Game Show.

Kojima said at the Konami showcase event that he and his team have been looking at how television seasons are scheduled as one consideration, GameSpot reports.

With that said, the game is still fairly early in development and Kojima Productions has not yet settled on any one distribution method.

The game is planned as a continuation of cult classic horror series Silent Hill. Kojima and film director Guillermo Del Toro are collaborating on the project.

Games/movies never ever usually make me jump or genuinely scared. The PT demo gave me total strawberry floating dread :dread: and continually shat myself.

Dat new trailer looks worse. Cant wait 8-)

Same! It was terrifying, ergo it must be played.

This game'll be what makes me get a PS4. Please don't be episodic, though.

 Aye, bit mental but suppose just adds to the 'what the hell is going on' factor.

I hope this won't be a first person perspective game. I hope it has other characters and a 3rd person model like classic sh games. Otherwise it's so similar to outlast, where you just run away and hide...

No, no no. The controlling of the camera is a huge part of what makes it terrifying. You just wouldn't get that with 3rd person.

I'm pretty sure there going with both anyway. I mean you're not bringing in Norman Redus to not see his face.

Episodic release :dread:

Didn't think the trailer was that bad though, some nice ideas but probably more abstract stuff for the trailer rather than being representative of any gameplay.

Episodic could actually work for Silent Hill. Especially if it's as scary as the demo, it'd break it down into bearable chunks of horror. And each episode could end on a proper cliffhanging, Silent Hill twist. I'd still take a full game over episodes though so I hope they don't go episodic. Also, episodes need to come out at regularly intervals or there's just no point. One episode every two weeks would probably feel about right. Even one a month is a bit too thin on the ground.
