Puyo Puyo Tetris

Welcome to the PuyoTetrizone!

What do you get when you cross two of the most world reknowned puzzle games of all time and throw them together. You get Puyo Puyo Tetris!
You can play both Puyo Puyo and Tetris independently or together across these modes:

Single Player

New

Adventure Mode (A Single Player story, great fun in both English and Japanese!)
VS (Vs AI)
PuyoTeto Mix (Mix of both Puyos and Tetriminoes in 1 game mode)
Swap (Play both and swap between them at intervals)
Party (Either, but with items!)
Big Bang (Kinda like Fever, but with both)

Traditional

Endless Puyo (Puyo Puyo)
Fever (Puyo Puyo)
Chibi PuyoPuyo (Puyo Puyo)

Marathon (Tetris)
40 Line (Tetris)
Ultra (Tetris)

Multiplayer (Local or Wireless) 1-4 Players

VS (Vs Each other or with AI!)
PuyoTeto Mix (Mix of both Puyos and Tetriminoes in 1 game mode)
Swap (Play both and swap between them at intervals)
Party (Either, but with items!)
Big Bang (Kinda like Fever, but with both)

Multiplayer Online 2-4 Players

Ranked
Club Mode (Set any rules you want, unranked)

I've already played it... on Xbox One. It appears not to have been released in this region for some reason.

So Me, Dragon, Devlin and Pedz went to play this last night. Devlin quit after losing two rounds in a row and Pedz didn't think he was good enough eiither.

Then Dragon quit too.

I played and within five to ten second staydead had practically put me out. The next few rounds weren't much better. So I went and played Kamiko instead. I'm not that good and so I wasn't hanging around to be annihilated again and again.

Yeah being colour blind with these is a pain as sometimes you make simple mistakes as you get confused between blue and purple. The good thing is the shapes for blue and purple are different so you need to get used to that, there's also a set of Puyos that are letters, so P is Purple, B is blue, R is red and so on.

Yeah, it is tough, Pedz - do you struggle a bit, too? For me, in this screenshot the blue/purple (?) are too similar and the green/orange (?) is difficult, too. I can sometimes distinguish between the colours if I have time to analyse them but, at the speed of a videogame, I have no chance :lol:

I have to be careful when playing PES online as I have to make sure I can easily distinguish between the two kits. Occasionally, if they are - for me - too similar, I can't tell players apart and it can be an instant win for my opponent :fp:

Blue and Purple is what I have problem with. There isn't orange.

I think that there are different names for different types of colour blindness. I may have to delve into that to find out more.

Yeah I think there are three. I think I have the most common colour blindness tbh. I'm not really sure. Either way, it was fun playing snooker and potting the brown thinking it was red :lol:

Ah! Thanks, man. Hmmn, I wonder if I'd be able to play it that way? I think there is a demo available on Switch and so I'll take a look to see if I can play with that option in the demo.

Edit: I think I'd still struggle 'cos, at speed, the blue and purple characters still look a bit too similar. If only there was an option where the player could select the colours!

You have to buy the Alphabet Puyos in the in-game shop for 100 coins, I don't think it'd be available in the demo. It's stupid really there should be a colour blind mode, lots of games have the option now, though not near enough.

Oh man, that's daft! It would be ideal if the player could choose the colours - I'd select four colours that, to me, look completely different.
