My kids (5 & 3) keep calling me & my wife by our first names. Thoughts?

I saw that thread, but in fairness that seems to be a pretty serious issue.
Forget the School Resource Officer, the guy needs to be reporting that girl to the police before things get even more out of hand and someone makes a criminal complaint against him.

As clarified in the thread, the School Resource Officer IS Police.

Apparantly the school resource officer is a police officer so he's doing the right thing.

I hate how threads are titled “we need to talk/address” strawberry float off, no we don’t.

Literally what it says in the title. It feels odd that they should call me my first name, but at the same time, it IS my name. Should I encourage them to call me dad? Or should I just roll with it? I wonder why culturally we lean on these pseudonyms so much. They hear me and my wife call each other our first names, so why would I insist they call me by a title, even if it is meant to be affectionate? Nobody in our family has ever called Aunts and Uncles those titles, just their names. I dont know. Being called my first name by my kid for some reason sounds jarring, though I find no logical reason to care.

I went and read the post, it's unconsciously hilarious! It makes me think it's the sort of discovered diary you would find in a Fallout game or LucasArts adventure.

OK, this is obviously intended to be a cheap and easy hearing aid function (as part of Apple’s ongoing accessibility efforts), but it doubles as a plain sight spying/bugging tool that’s fun to play with.

Go to settings > control center > add “Hearing” to the control center stack, and then put on the airpods and turn on “live listen”.

Your phone’s mic is used to pick up surrounding audio and route it to the airpods with a ~100ms delay (?). With the ~40ft BT range, you can place your phone down and listen to whats going on while youre in another room, bathroom, etc.

Probably great for casual espionage. Will test it out at my holiday party this week.
