I don't think any of us are anti era (rhymes with wun) at all. I read it as much as i do this place, im just not a member as it's not a.community I want to be part of. Most of the latter part of this thread is just laughing at people coming up with stupid stuff or completely overanylising things. If this place had a similar membership number I'd imagine we'd turn up as many daft topics.

I read Era a lot because in terms of videogame news and discussion it's fast moving and always up to date. I don't really feel the desire to contribute beyond that though because due to how seriously it takes itself and OTT moderation the place lacks personality and a sense of humour. At least for me anyway.

I fully agree there’s some ridiculous gooseberry fool on Era and half the enjoyment about posting there is telling everyone how ridiculous they’re being and see them react.

I like the strict moderation though it filters out the edge lords.

On of my favourite things to do on there is to start reading a topic from the last page and read backwards. That way the conversation gradually gets more and more friendly, people get in banned and you end up on the first page where everything is civil and the top post has some.helpful information and pictures.

Well we're not alt-right idiots, lol. I'm an active member of Era but I think there's less of a community feel over there compared to here. I enjoy a laugh at the crazier stuff that goes on over there from my comfy GRcade armchair.

Unfortunately this thread has been used for picking up on the weirder topics that inevitably show up on neogaf and now resetera being two of the biggest gaming related forums Internet, if you discount Reddit.

I has very little to do with politics.

Although a lot of people do feel that they moderate too heavily. And as a UK forum the culture clash with the USA can be interesting too.
