I was browsing ResetEra and saw a thread about Colin Moriarty wanting to return to gaming commentary which I was pleased to hear as I really enjoyed the P.S. I Love You podcast. Now I know earlier this year there was a big controversy about an inappropriate/sexist tweet, and there was a whole shouting match war that spawned up on NeoGaf - it got, really, really toxic. But as I was reading the start of some of those old arguments I saw the ResetEra thread on NeoGaf was locked by a community moderator who effectively said discussion of Colin Moriarty was banned.

I definitely don't want to get into the whole politics/history, but this seems an extreme reaction to someone who isn't a Nazi! I suspect this is indicative that political allegiances will now dominate ResetEra's management. Thank God for GRcade.

Not having seen the history of the conversation, if I try and interpret those two tweets... isn't he saying that the white supremacists' belief that white people are superior is disproved by the social-economic success of Asian-Americans? With all due respect to you guys, trying to decipher someone's political opinions from two out of context tweets is a bit silly.

Anyone who has actually listened to him talk at length would know he's not racist or sexist.

But of course everything on the internet is black and white.

And context doesn't matter apparently.

Seen plenty of his opinions on Twitter and he comes across as a complete banana split so that's enough for me.

I have listened to Colin Moriarty for years on IGN and KF. I don't care about his politics, that was the majority of the problem. He was more interested in telling everyone about how he is a libertarian than actually talking games. Hence his new project I guess. Good riddance you bore.
