Oh, ok, I saw that posted in our FFXV thread and thought it was serious for a bit. Thought was was a very Era move to make. Now it makes sense.

How on earth can that be a reasonable policy in a topic concerning a developer who was a key player in the development of a specific game?

These mods stand over topics like a strawberry floating umpire who runs into the field when they don't like the course of the game.

Persona 5 is game for adults in which you date children.

The existence of the ability to date female children in a game in which the main male protagonist is a vessel for the adult player is problematic. Couple this with the problematic power relations and the "Do 10 Good Things Get 1 Sex Free" reward system is all together a negative influence on the player.

This game promotes a disgusting way of viewing relationships in which it promotes the idea a man should have power over his female partner, that we are sexually rewarded for good deeds, and most importantly it promotes the sexualization of children.

While it is true date simulators reward gifts with sexual activity to some extent... That isn't far from the truth either. If someone likes you enough because you do stuff they like they might have sex with you. That isn't necessarily controlling or predatory. Japanese culture is mysoginistic. It's like this is a big surprise.

None of that is true viewed through the lens of the culture in which it originates. Problematic indeed.

Why did they play the game anyway?

In other news, I've noticed lately that COD glorifies war even though war is bad. The game even acts as a vessel through which child players can shoot adults. This is problematic.
