Yeah seems just like NeofGaf really, no sense of humour at all. That's why I love GRcade, you can make a risque or tasteless joke and people will either find it amusing or not, but you won't get banned for it.

I don't like the term snowflake, but it could easily apply to most of that forum.

Americans are really weird about the word banana split. Some of them can't wrap their head around it basically being just a standard insult over here.

I sent a PM to the mod and was told I need to be more culturally sensitive and aware, which I find rather ironic given that the warning (and the other users ban) has come about from a lack of cultural awareness.

I saw this the c-word is considered kind of like the woman equivalent of a racial insult over in the States. I guess their argument is that they're primarily a US-based site, which I sympathise with, but it does seem like they could stand to loosen up a bit.

I have been a member of GR for over five years now and I’ve only just realised what banana split means . I’d thought that gooseberry fool and banana split were both terms for gooseberry fool .

I’m probably a bit old-fashioned but I don’t like the term banana split being bandied around. Laga should indeed be banned* .
