It does annoy me how people label all cyclists as the same. I hope they don't do that in all walks of life.

I cycle sometimes at work bit that's it. I don't own my own bike. Cycle on the road can at times be down right terrifying. Giant metal contraptions flying past you only with only a few inches to gap.

The insides many roads are in a terrible state. Drivers expect cyclists to ride on the inside close to the pavement but often these sections are full of holes, uneven tarmac, and foreign objects. If u try to ride there you wobble all over the place, if u ride further out in the road then drivers get pissed that you are 'blocking their road'.

Plus, it's only ever a matter of time before some ill-informed split says something about 'road tax'.

If the road connects to routes that the cycle lane doesn't then it may be more straightforward for the cyclists who use that route to follow the road than to switch from cyclist to pedestrian, cross a busy road, switch back, cycle for a bit in a cycle lane, switch again, cross again, then continue on the road. You might think it could make things easier for you as a driver but then you'd have pedestrians carrying bicycles trying to cross a main road to contend with.

Nah they are on the same side of the road (unlike that vid), it bypasses traffic lights, it does end by a roundabout, but again that should not be an issue as there is normally a queue to get onto the roundabout. It is just odd

That made me chuckle. The driver is clearly an arsehole but the cyclist is goading him and therefore loses the moral high ground, and his language is not better than the driver!

Classic case of 2 wrongs doesn't make a right.

Is it wrong I'm hoping Danny dyer stars in the movie adaptation...

I did think I had written some drivers but if it makes u feel better to point out people's errors out of context then fire away. Look I can laugh too :slol:

As i said in a previous post I'm a driver. Not a regular cyclist. But do several times a month cycle at work. I know from myself when driving that I don't give cyclists enough space and get frustrated to be doing 15mph behind a cyclist whilst waiting for a chance to over take. But then when I cycle it reminds me of how difficult it is for the cyclists.

Me personally I use cycle paths where possible but you often have no choice but to be on the road.

Calm down, I was messing around. I will point out all of the errors in your post though as I am bored and you have given me an excuse to. I will put it in a spoiler box so nobody else has to be bored by my English lesson.

No biggy, I'm not gonna bother opening the spoiler box. I was just annoyed that I hadn't put some drivers as that's what I meant to write.

Anxiety? Guy nearly gets wiped out by a massive car and then an ugly fat prick goes apeshit at him and starts threatening him. His body and mind have probably taken flight.

It's pretty much a standard Mario Kart night TBH.

If you fancy giving yourself an aneurysm, watch this and read the comments. An event, so clearly captured on film in a way that cannot be misunderstood by anyone with a functioning brain. A cyclist on a roundabout, a taxi not giving way to the right, and a collision.

There's one thread under the video that goes on for ages where they're arguing about whether the cyclist is late of work or not and whether he has his work clothes with him. :fp: Youtube comments really are the worst.
