Monetise the video and hope it goes viral. 1 moment of fuckery could score him some decent cash.

How the hell did he/she even crash there? Just straight into the divider for no reason, seconds after turning the head to look forward. If an inch high footpath can get the better of you, then perhaps cycling isn't the way to go.

I think there is a little bump that put her off. That's the only explanation. Or she's just a bitch who deserved it and the pavement God knocked her off.

I commute to work every day and I love it....

However, Mums on the school run are the scariest drivers out there. They'll stop there cars without indicating, and never give you much room when over taking.

I've had some aggressive drivers aim there cars at me like weapons. When the driver is in that state of mind, I'm not sure if they realise that hitting me at speed will no doubt cripple me. I may have held up their journey for 10 seconds but i don't think that's an excuse to turn into a Mercedes killer.

I think it's actually a bloke. Someone showed it to me on the Spotted Portsmouth Facebook page and I'm sure it mentioned that the person in the video was called Adam or something.

I loved it when I first saw it, but now I am wondering if it's staged.

I couldn't shake that feeling either. The way he lets the clearly-very-slow cyclist past him only to overtake again so soon after... the way the camera gets a suspiciously clear shot of the Vs being given. You can flip off a car without turning round. And then, mainly, the crash itself makes no sense. If you lose control on a bike I'm pretty sure it doesn't look as smooth as that. Why not just... y'know... stop.

What's he going to say to the other cyclist?

"Excuse me, mate. I'm just moving off, but when I get up to speed I'm going to be faster than you, so can you just slow down until I get going?"

I had another watch of the video that started this thread and I'm more on the side of the guy driving now. The cyclist's camera is mounted on his handlebars, and the point at which everything gets crazy is when he picks his bike up and aims it at the guy to get his face on video. To him, the cyclist appeared to be threatening to attack him, and he stood his ground. The initial driving infringement was bad, yes, but the subsequent meltdown was all on the guy on the bike.

Obviously not. But if you were looking for a slow cyclist to overtake as part of your hilarious zeitgeisty viral video, it's perfect.

Nah, it's more like he's sped up after the embarrassment of being passed by some casual wearing regular clothes with no helmet or camera.
